Staff were extremely helpful. Traveling with children I found restaurant
staff very helpful.
You have to pay for parking at the hotel but delighted to find a coffee
maker and a small fridge in my room. Desk chair was very uncomfortable
so not good for work. There was free wi-fi in the lobby

We were pleased with the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre. We were in
Vancouver seeing a friend at the Hospital which we could walk to. They
seem to have a good bus system, but we weren't there long enough to
figure it out. The hotel is clean and comfortable and while not the most
glamorous place we have stayed, was a good value for the money. We found
the staff at the front desk to be helpful.Guest Review of the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre on Broadway

The hotel is close to downtown 'on the map' but in practice it is not
within walking distance. There is a shuttle to downtown and Stanly park
every hour but it does not do pick-ups so you only get one way... how
stupid can this be! If you have a car, it's 5 minutes drive to downtown
and Granville Island and also not far from Kitsilano so your only
concern is parking. The rooms are OK, at least the one I got. service is
not that great. Air conditioning in the room is old and noisy. A big
problem since many rooms face east and get warm in the morning. The
blinds do not block 100% of the light which can wake you up early. The
experience was generally OK, but next time I will look for a different
hotel.

Stayed in for a couple of nights, staff was very friendly, mothers'
luggage was lost by Air Canada (showed up 1 week later, different hotel,
oh boy, I never heard the end of it, even to this day), staff was on top
of it and never disappointed us. Location is great and room on high
floor was very quiet and clean. Used the pool, it was clean, and the
small gym had adequate enough equipment for a workout. Would recommend
and stay in again, just make sure to ask for a room on high floor, lots
of conventions and parties on lobby floor may push sounds to immediate
above floors. Parking isnt cheap, but Vancouver sure knows how to rip
everyone off in that arena, regardless if you are parking on street on
in parking facilities.

I spent a couple of nights with 3 other family members. We had a clean
room with comfortable double beds at the 15th floor with an awesome view
of the city. The front desk service was good, and the housekeeping
service was flawless. Very good buffet breakfast, though not included in
the rate, but adequately priced. The location is not walking distance
from downtown, but the area is loaded with nearby good restaurants.
Affordable parking in the same building. The business centre was
available at a very high cost.

We stayed for 2 nights in adjoining rooms on the executive floor. The rooms
where spacious and exceptionally well serviced. We have no complaints with
regards to cleanliness and comfort. The staff where friendly and helpful. We had
breakfast included which was standard fare but a big enough choice to tempt even
adolescent tastes!. The exterior is no reflection of the comfort we enjoyed,
also great views from the top floor.

Typical average Holiday Inn. Great central location if you're wanting a place
close to University of British Columbia, Granville Island, Airport or even
Stanley Park! Not bad view; spacious suite
Bare bones, Styrofoam cups with the coffeemaker sort of place. A very very beige
place offering what one needs but completely without style or dash. Think of a
government department running a hotel.

I stayed in this hotel a few days ago. My room was quite large, bed was
comfortable, very clean (though the building looks a bit old and dirty from
outside), location is good (about ten minutes to downtown by car, very central
location). The price for a single room is about 100$, which is reasonable for a
hotel in Vancouver. Some of the staff I met was very helpful, others were not
particularly motivated. Parking costs additional breakfast was not included.

We stayed the night at this hotel for the location primarily. We were in town
for the night to accommodate a day surgery my husband was having at VGH early
the next morning. Exterior of the hotel not too impressive and hallways and
rooms dated, but CLEAN. Staff very nice and could not ask for more. Price was in
line for what we got. If I was staying for pleasure, would have picked a
different location if I wanted to spend more money as well. Paid $165CDN taxes
in. Did not eat there, so don't know how the restaurant is, menu looked good.
Went up the road to Earl's and enjoyed it. |
