I had the pleasure of staying at your hotel from Sept.8 for 4 nights. I was
visiting my daughter and son-in-law and new twin grand-daughters that live close
by. My room was large with a beautiful king size bed, fridge, microwave and
everything else I could want. The huge selection for breakfast was unbelievable
and included. Underground parking included, pick up and drop off at airport
included. It was a $7.50 charge for pick up from airport but cheap as compared
to a taxi. Everyone was friendly and Carlos the shuttle driver was great. I will
be making this my home away from home when I come to visit my grand-daughter
again and again. Thank you very much, Lorraine Giesbrecht, Edmonton, Alberta

Complimentary breakfast was second to none, shuttle service was excellent. No
complaints whatsoever. The hotel was nicely located, staff very helpful, hotel
really clean and the breakfast was delicious with very nice staff. Shuttle
service was excellent, driver very informative. Over all I would give it 4. I
would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

For an inexpensive hotel stay, this is the place. During the day, this location
isn't bad at all. At night, it can appear shady. Not because there is an adults
only store across the street. The neighborhood doesn't seem like one of those
places you want to take a stroll around block in.
Unlike most Holiday Inn Expresses, this is not a standalone building.
There are storefronts next to or below the rooms and the building looks like it
was converted into a HIE. The room rate includes secured indoor parking
underground. The lobby is liberally updated with marble tiles and the included
breakfast had a decent selection.
The deadbolt on the door between rooms was broken and the staff immediately
resolved the problem by transferring us to another room. The rooms are decent,
but not like any other HIE we recall. They had all the amenities of a HIE, but
the rooms were outdated.
Overall, the staff was friendly and prompt to resolve issues, parking is
included, close enough to downtown, decent breakfast spread and outdated rooms.

Taxi to downtown area will cost about $13-15 (Canadian). The staff was friendly
and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the price for the room was
great! On the morning of our cruise, we checked out and the shuttle was right on
time to take us to the cruise ship terminal. Nice comfortable bed and a good
free breakfast.

Our friends from San Jose stayed here on their frigid trip north this winter.
The guy at the service desk was helpful and good humored, which was good because
we were all being really silly and having fun, our friends were intoxicated with
Jet Lag as they'd been up since 4:30 am.
The rooms are quite nice and beds comfortable and clean. They also offer a
continental breakfast. There is a bar downstairs called The Press Box. They have
a surprising menu. There's not much around here in walking distance so it's good
that this place is nice. As for coffee houses, the closest thing is a Starbucks,
at Kaslo street or a few more blocks to The Laughing Bean, at Slocan which is a
nice neighborhood place. This hotel is near the P.N.E grounds. If you head east
from here along Hastings, you can get to Cafe Artigiano in about 5 or 6 minutes
drive.
The hotel has secured parking as well.

We stayed here 3 nights for a brief exploration of Vancouver and the surrounding
area. The hotel is just east of a bad neighborhood of Vancouver so you do not
want to be travelling west on Hastings by foot. However we took the bus, which
stops right out front of the hotel, to downtown during the day with no problems.
If you have a car the hotel is in a great location as it is close to the trans
Canada highway.
As for the hotel, it was clean and appeared safe with a night security guard
posted at the front lobby. Room keys were required to use the elevator but the
stairwells were open to anyone. The biggest downfall of the hotel would be the
noise from the street. We had a room on the 3rd floor facing Hastings and the
traffic all night was annoying. Our stay would have been better if we had a room
facing the mountains.
The hotel has a shuttle which we did not use as it was busy, hence us taking the
bus into downtown, but friends used it to get to the pier. Hot breakfast was
great.
Overall it was not a bad place to stay, it was just the traffic noise that was
the issue.

The hotel is 10/15 minutes from downtown in a strategic position to reach in
short time all the main Vancouver's attractions. The location is a not the best
of the town but the hotel and the garage are safe (the garage is gated) so using
the car is the best choice. In the day time it's comfortable to reach downtown
by bus (the stop is in front of the hotel) or driving (following the Hastings St
you arrive in downtown in minutes). The Hotel is clean and the complementary
breakfast makes a difference. For sure I'll go back again in the future.
