Guest Review of the Loden Hotel Vancouver

The ideal city hotel: chic, friendly, outstanding service, helpful staff, incredible bathtub, bed, linens and on a quiet street! The Bed & Breakfast package included the valet parking and a really good choice of items at a buffet, hosted by an excellent staff! Thanks TJ for our morning coffee and conversation! The hotel room is spacious and has exciting lighting options, room darkening drapes and floor to ceiling windows. Huge exercise room also! Stayed for 5 nights and truly felt at home and already plotting to return!

Boutique style hotel, just a short walk from everything but in quiet spot. Nice rooms but on the small size. Friendly good service. If you arrive mid afternoon hungry and thirsty you have a problem as the Restaurant and Bar; not owned/run by hotel, shuts between 3 and 6 pm each day. They need to address this!

The Loden Vancouver is a wonderful choice in the Coal Harbour district of Vancouver. Close to Stanley Park, Convention Center, Harbour, and Robson Street without being in the middle of the city noise and traffic. We had a corner room with two walls of windows and peek-a-boo views of the marina and harbour mixed in with close views of other buildings. Personally, the bright and light space itself outweighed looking into other buildings. The room upgrade is worth it. The rooms are well designed, modern and extremely clean. Bed is super comfortable with good linens and plenty of high quality pillows (a must for a luxury property). Bathrooms are roomy. Two dislikes were the small bath sink because it splashes water all around the area (a common design problem with this sink shape), and the shower doors leak water onto floor unless the shower head is pointed away from the glass door. Twice, my husband and I found puddles of water on the floor. These are small issues with this property.

Hotel front desk staff are welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable. They offer complimentary car service to close-by places. The staff are well-trained, and appeared to genuinely greet us warmly each time we entered the lobby.

The buffet breakfast was good for a Continental. Fresh cut fruit was fresh, smoked salmon and bagels were a nice offering and the grilled breakfast wrap was tasty. Coffee was average, but we are coffee fanatics :). Staff in the restaurant was very friendly.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel!

The hotel has 77 rooms and is perfect for business or a get away with your wife. We stayed in the corner room - great room, ceiling to floor windows. The restaurant is great. Location is perfect (a few blocks to the ocean). The hotel is only 4 years old. Excellent fitness centre - not simply a refurnished room, but a large windowed space. They have thought of everything ... they even have bikes that you can check out and use to ride around Stanley park (5 min away). I would return again.
