We really enjoyed our stay at the Opus Hotel. The staff were friendly,
courteous and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. The Elixir
Restaurant staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious.
We will recommend the Opus to our visitors from out of town and we will
definitely be back again.

Opus is considered a 'boutique hotel' whatever that means. If that means
the rooms are smaller than big, expensive luxury hotels- so be it! While
our room was smaller than many rooms I have stayed in, it was designed
in such a way to make use of all of the space. The room was 'trendy
cool' as opposed to 'elegant' or fancy. This reflects the whole Opus
experience- from the bar, to the funky pillows in the lobby, Opus
screams modern and fun.
Likewise, staff were always friendly and helpful and appeared to
sincerely mean it when they said 'good morning'. Room staff were not
seen- they got in quick, did a great job and left.
I will be back with no hesitations.

I had another fantastic stay at the Opus in Vancouver. The purpose of my
trip was a combination of business and leisure (so to say a big city
fix;). The Yaletown location of the Opus is perfect, first of all due to
the new RAV line across the street, so easy access to public transit,
which will get you straight to and from the airport as well as downtown;
second of all the choice of great restaurants and bars in walking
distance. I also had a great Martini at Elixir - the bar below. The room
itself was quite small, however extremely cosy and posh. I loved the
wonderful job the housekeeping department did, leaving a decanter filled
with fresh water daily and a creative treat such as chocolate, lollypops
or candy. The Service in the lobby was very friendly and helpful.

I went for a week in March, to visit my student daughter. I didnīt want
to stay where most of the downtown Vancouver hotels are, in the shopping
area between Robson and Georgia. Opus hotel is not only in a nicer, more
peaceful area near the sea - Yaletown- , but it is facing the new train
station coming from the airport, so it is inexpensive and incredibly
easy to get there and depart. I liked that a lot. That train also takes
you easily to different parts of town I didnīt know before. The hotel
has a strikingly unusual decoration, and though it wouldnīt be of my
taste I liked it. The room, while on the small side, its large window
facing a nice street, was new, well appointed and fun, as the rest of
the hotel, particularly the lobby and bar. Food in general wasnīt cheap
but it was attractive, breakfasts quite nice in terms of food and
atmosphere. Everybody in the staff was very helpful and charming. I
didnīt like to pay for the internet, but they said thatīs how it is
(though in the Holiday Inn it is free!). It is a hotel to come back to:
boutique sized, cozy, reliable and upscale in its style and location.
Busy, trendy and noisy bar on weekend evenings! But why not? Noise
didnīt reach the room anyway.

Staff, rooms, atmosphere and prices all 10 out of 10!
Attention to detail is outstanding.
Lots of up grades have been offered when you stay regularly
The hotel was a wonderful boutique hotel experience. The rooms are small
but well equipped, the service is impeccable, and the location near the
waterfront is very good.

My friend and I booked a room at the Opus so we could spend a few days
in the city after a weekend in Whistler. Not only is the location
perfect (right by the water, loads of good restaurants and a Canada Line
train stop), but the hotel itself is a chic and unpretentious place to
call your home away from home. The staff were exceptionally attentive
and kind, and the food and drinks were top notch (we had both breakfast
and cocktails/tapas at Elixir). The room was functional and laid out in
such a way that it felt like we had our own little apartment in
Yaletown, and we had zero noise issues despite the fact that our window
faced Davie Street and we were only three floors up.
We felt comfortable and well taken care of during our entire stay, and
there's no doubt I'll be booking a room there the next time I'm in
Vancouver!

My daugher and I had a wonderful time at the Opus Hotel in Vancouver. We
experienced exceptional, curtious and knowledgeable service. The
location is great in that the Canada Line train is across the street and
you can take the train from the airport directly to the hotel. The
restaurants in the area are wonderful, it is difficult to select where
to eat. Starbucks across the street is a bonus as well. Would definitely
recommend this hotel. Enjoy!

The Opus Hotel design, staff and amenities make for a truly unique hotel
experience. The staff is always friendly and can tailor your experience
to meet your needs. The daily candy/treat drop-off is always something
to look forward to when the business day in complete. When night falls
the Yaletown location is perfect. Great lounge and restaurant on site,
along various other bars and restaurants within walking distance.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Opus twice in one month
while I was on business in Vancouver. Based on a friends recommendation,
these were our first visits to the Opus hotel as we usually stay at the
Fairmont and Four Seasons chain. The Opus Hotel exceeded our
expectations in every way! The hotel exudes funky/hip elegance and
luxury not seen at any hotel we have stayed at in Western Canada. All of
the staff that we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful and
were not pretentious in anyway. The hotel is in the heart of Yaletown
with great shopping and a number of great restaurants near by. The hotel
is a 2 block walk to the Vancouver marina/waterfront and is a short walk
to GM place and BC place. There Yaletown skytrain station is right
across the street from the hotel with easy access to YVR and the rest of
Vancouver.
The rooms at the Opus were stylish and comfortable with iPod docks,
LCD/Plasma TV's. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were
amazing, almost Spa like. We made use of the fitness and business center
at the Opus. The business center is outfitted with Herman Miller chairs
and big screen Mac computers. There is also a direct link for printing
boarding passes for many of the major airlines.
The food at the Opus Hotels Elixir restaurant was fantastic. They have a
great wine list and the service was second to none.
We will be back!ar 14, 2010
Great service, great location - within short walking distance of a huge
number of restaurants, sea taxi, and much of downtown (e.g. Robson St.)
is within a 15 minute walk. From the moment I stepped in this hotel I
was overwhelmed with its chicness, from the bar in the lobby populated
by trendy young people to the stylish hotel rooms. The service (check-in
desk, valet, restaurant wait staff) was excellent throughout. The hotel
room was a bit on the loud side (but nothing that kept us up) during the
night, but that's to be expected from the location. The hotel room was
good, but nothing special, and the hotel doesn't offer that much in the
way of amenities. If you're interested however in atmosphere and
location, this is a good place to stay.
