This is actually a really nice hotel. Just wasn't particularly my style. If
you're looking for the "it" bar scene this might be the place for you. Very loud
and crowded with twenty something's. We could hear the thump thump in our room.
The bathroom doesn't have ton of privacy, but still really nice. They offered
free bikes which was lovely and the little restaurant attached on the left was
fantastic. Beds were comfortable and toiletries great!

My parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The took a cruise
from Vancouver and decided to tay a few days prior at the Opus Hotel prior. From
the first moment they walked in they felt welcome - the staff truly went out of
their way to make their stay special. Little touches matter, common courtesy,
kindness are not dead at the Opus hotel.

Visited Vancouver for the 2011 NFSA Conference. My Company booked me in th OPUS.
I was concerned about being booked in a "trendy" hotel for business, and it
seemed it was rather far from the convention center. My concerns were quickly
eliminated. I have to say that I was most impressed by the Hotel and the
incredible service I received throughout the stay. I have only compliments for
the OPUS!
The check in process was very smooth. My colleague and I were offered a water or
sparkling wine and were made to feel welcome immediately. My room (507), was
beautiful… The décor fun and funky, sparkling clean, and offered so many great
amenities… From the Wi-Fi, to the iPod docking stations, L’Occitane Bath
Products, abundant towel supply, and comfy bed. All was appreciated and made for
a most comfortable stay. Not 5 minutes after arriving in the room, there was a
knock on the door and a bottle of Voss water, and a plate of trail mix / popcorn
was delivered with a welcome card. All very impressive.
Tuesday night I hosted a reception representing my Company. I was very impressed
by the service we received from the staff at 100 Nights and especially the
General Manager, Jack. He and his Team were very professional, efficient, and
just plain fun. My Guests raved about the service, food, and fun atmosphere as
we were in the Lobby of the Hotel (I guess I never did figure this out… Is the
Lobby officially the Opus Bar?) Regardless we had a blast, as did my Guests. I
would be thrilled to host an event there in the future. The Owners of 100
Nights? They are lucky to have Jack at the helm and the Service Team is amazing!
You know, it was truly the “little things” that really added to the terrific
stay… On Monday night we approached one of the Valets, “Nathan”. We were having
dinner at Coast (another Vancouver gem!) and I left the address in my room. I
approached Nathan and asked if he would mind getting the address for me and then
calling a taxi to take us there. He responded, without hesitation, that he would
do one better… he would just take us there. Of course, in Opus Style, Nathan
pulled around in a gorgeous BMW. Wow! What service! My colleague and I had the
best conversation with Nathan as he shared his passion for the City of Vancouver
on the drive to Coast. I hope Nathan is recognized for the incredible impression
he made on us. He is certainly an asset to the hotel.
Conference days turned out to be easy... there is a subway stop literally in
front of the hotel (and next to a Starbuck's), so each morning I grabbed a latte
and hoped the subway. Two stop later you are right on the waterfront and a 5
minute walk to the beautiful convention center. Very easy!
I hope to have the opportunity to return to Vancouver for Holiday in the near
future and the Opus Vancouver will definitely be my home while there.

The touch of class from the Opus cannot be understated. It's wonderful. From the
moment I walked in and was greeted with a smile and a glass of bubbly to the
last minute I stepped away and had my car pulled up for me; the Opus staff was
first class.
The rooms were comfortable and the beds; wonderful!! I stayed here for 11 days
and my favourite part was the candy on my bed at turndown nightly. Pez.
Lollypops. Greetings with nuts and popcorn.
I didn't try the restaurant, but it was pretty hoppin' nightly (especially the
weekends). I didn't hear much from my 6th floor room, but it did seem like a
popular joint.
I was here for business and coming back each night felt like home.
Oh. And there's a BMW car service. Again. Very classy. I think Lindsay Stevens
for helping me with my reservations and getting a great rate for my 11 day stay.
Thanks again Opus. I'll be back for vacation for sure. |
