Couldn't be happier with my stay at the Park Inn & Suites. I stayed here
a few years ago and had a nice stay. Now however, they've done extensive
renovations since my last stay and the rooms are really nice. Especially
happy with the microwave and small fridges in the rooms. My room had
brand new carpeting and the view is the best I've seen from any of the
places I've stayed in Vancouver over the years.
Highly recommend this hotel, the housekeeping is excellent, the front
desk staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a very tasty breakfast
in the restaurant as well. |

stayed 4 days in Vancouver for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the
city. hotel location was handy for us, walking distance to Granville
island, view of downtown spectacular, loads of good restaurants all
around. friendly staff, helped with directions, dinner suggestions &
reservations, booked us a tour which was fantastic. rooms are nice, very
clean. hotel is not too big and you feel like the staff know you and
they are great about making suggestions and following up with us about
how our day went. would definitely recommend this as a good place to
stay. |

Overall I thought it was c+ grade. The problem with all of Vancouver is
the cost and that can not be blamed on the hotel. All hotels are
expensive in that city. compared to other hotels it is a good value. My
biggest complaint would be the car entrance from the road. It is a very
sharp turn. If the price was less I would rate it higher. But again that
is not the hotels fault. Vancouver is expensive city. |

The building, facilities are nice and meet the needs of the average
traveler. The service was awful! While the hotel itself is quite nice,
clean, centrally located, the service we received was awful. The front
desk clerk (who was actually a supervisor!) didn't tell us anything
about the facilities offered at the hotel and we had to look them up
ourselves. Apparently there was a fitness facility - but we weren't told
about, and nothing was mentioned about the wireless internet (a huge
selling point these days). I don't need to be fawned over, but a clerk
checking me in who's not also on the phone and talking to other
employees is not acceptable. Our stay was negatively affected by this
lack of attention to us since we were forced to look up available
services and ask questions that are normally part of the standard spiel
when checking in. Hopefully others have a better experience with the
staff because the hotel was nice enough. |

The shortcomings the room had (very small bathroom, limited storage for
clothes, etc.) was more than made up for by the wonderful staff.
Everyone was extremely helpful with information on what sights to see
and how to go about getting there. Jola of housekeeping, Janice of the
cafe were always going out of their way to accommodate us. The desk
staff called for cabs and dinner reservations for us-also very patient
when helping us to check in and printout our airline boarding passes, as
we were not very computer savy. We have never experience such a warm and
friendly hotel staff! The view from our North room balcony was
breathtaking! The location of the hotel was close to bus lines. Would
definitely recommend this hotel! |

We stayed one night in this hotel while in Vancouver to visit our son.
We like the look of the hotel and the staff were very professional and
friendly. The room was clean, but did need some updating. Bed spread was
a bit dated. I see in other photos that some of the rooms have had more
updating than ours.
Our main complaint other than the beds were just a bit too firm for us
was the noise level from the hallways. The door to the hallway is a
solid core fire door, but I gather there was carpet up to the door in
the room previously so the door does not go all the way to the floor.
Every little noise in the hallway feels like it is right there in the
room with you. The friendly chamber maid staff can be heard all the way
down the hall along with any door closing and they do close loudly. The
plumbing woke us up at 4 a.m.
None of the things we had issues with can be fixed quickly so we didn't
mention them to the staff.
We loved that the location was walking distance to many shops and
restaurants. We were at the back of the hotel so the street noise wasn't
an issue and "most" of the ambulances going to Vancouver General
Hospital Emergency (seen from our window) remembered to turn their
sirens off before going up the street next to the hotel.
Likely won't stay here again, but I can see that it would be good for
many other travelers. |

The Park Inn was clean and fresh, our room faced the alley so it was
quiet, the Park Inn is on Broadway, a very busy street, but there are
lots of shops and cafes nearby. There are many cafes and bars within
walking distance and Granville Island is just a few blocks away. The
neighborhood is mixed commercial and residential with lots of upscale
condos on one side of the street and older homes on the other, it seemed
like a safe place to be at night. We'll stay here again.

Stayed at the Park Inn & Suites on Broadway for 4 nights. The hotel is a
new building, with a car park underneath, and there are plenty of shops
and restaurants nearby. It is within a 20 minute walk of Granville
Island and Kitsilano, and although this hotel is not centrally located
(you'd need to catch a bus to get to downtown), it offers good value for
Vancouver, which is not a cheap place to stay. The rooms are modern,
well-designed, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but very
small. The big problem with this hotel is the noise - although the view
from the rooms on the street side is spectacular across Vancouver to the
mountains beyond, there must have been a big gap or a vent somewhere
around the window, because although the window was closed, the busy
street outside was very loud - I would recommend requesting a room on
the back side of the building if you want a quiet night's sleep. Car
parking in the area around the hotel is tightly controlled, but it only
costs $8 per 24hrs to park in the hotel's car park. This hotel does not
have a restaurant. Wireless internet is free, and there is one PC for
guest use in the lobby. |

If you need a place to stay while attending the Cancer Clinic or the Hospital,
this is the place. My wife and I received all the care and attention needed to
get us through her Cancer treatments. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable
and had a great view. I recommend you pay the charge for a City view. The
restaurant served a very good breakfast at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend
this hotel.... |
