This hotel would have to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The
location was very central to the city, the room was very large with a nice big
spa bath, the bed would have to be one of the more comfortable beds we've slept
in. There was not one staff member that did not go our of their way to welcome,
make us feel at home, answer all of our questions whilst making suggestions
also. This truly is a real "gem" of a hotel & it really enhanced our first
impressions of Vancouver / Canada. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I was thrilled upon entering the gorgeous Wedgewood Hotel and Spa. I trust the
Relais & Chateux brand, and it lived up to its luxurious standard. The room was
large and included a terrace the length of the apartment-like suite. Comfortable
amenities abounded, including full living room furniture, DVD players for the
flat-screen televisions, large marble bathrooms, and delightful turndown service
complete with cookies and spring water. Bacchus lounge and restaurant in the
hotel's lobby was a fabulous place to enjoy a martini next to a roaring fire.
Service was impeccable, and the location ideal. I'd absolutely go back to the
Wedgewood.

Perfect location to explore Vancouver. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and
helpful staff--from the bellman who gave me area recommendations to the
bartender. Unbelievably fun bar. Great restaurant--had several meals there and
was never disappointed. I have stayed at the Four Seasons in Vancouver--which is
also great BUT at this price point Wedgewood is the best bet. I am hooked!

The Wedgewood is in a great location in downtown Vancouver. There are lots of
restaurants close by and Robson Street is just round the corner.
We arrived by car and our luggage was whisked away and car parked (pretty
reasonable rate - c$14 from memory overnight) wit no fuss. We checked quickly
and were upgraded to a suite which was great news. This put us on one of the
upper floors.
The room was a good size for city centre with a very comfortable large bed.
Plenty of storage and a separate room with chairs etc. The bathroom was
surprisingly small and felt cramped. The bath was not large and the sink was
jammed in by the door. The shower cubicle was large but the water pressure
disappointing.
The room felt a bit dark. The decoration was also a little dark giving it a bit
of an old fashioned feel. Personal taste maybe.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We had great help from the
concierge with restaurant reservations. We didn't use the hotel restaurant.
Overall a good city centre hotel but would prefer something a bit more sylish in
a city like Vancouver.

Small luxury hotel with very helpful and courteous staff! All are friendly and
go out of your way to make your staff pleasant. They were very helpful with
arranging a shuttle to Whistler and the airport. We are a family of five and we
stayed in a mini suite. It was very comfortable with two bathrooms. An added
perk was the Bacchus Restaurant, you can have a romantic dinner downstairs while
the kids happily enjoy a Domino's pizza upstairs.

I'm not a worldwide traveler but have been to enough hotels to know over-the-top
customer service when I experience it. The hotel clearly embodies a culture of
"the customer comes first" from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff. They
treated me with that slight amount of respectful deference - enough to feel that
I was the only customer they had to deal with today, and I was the Most
important person in the hotel, but not crossing the line to condescending. It's
a skill not seen in many hotels.
I had a Deluxe King room - truly delightful with a fabulous corner soaker tub
and really, really comfortable bed. The location is everything you'd want in
Vancouver.
I'm told by the locals that the bar/lounge is THE number one spot in Vancouver -
if that is true, the staff have not let that affect their service or attitude.
They made me feel like my business mattered and that it was important that I,
personally, come back.

Lovely hotel, I felt well taken care of from start to finish. From the box of
chocolates on the first night to the fresh baked cookies and bottle of water
nightly. The rooms were gorgeous with very comfortable beds.

Am just finishing up a fabulous stay at the Wedgewood. We have travelled to all
corners of the planet and I can honestly say our stay at the Wedgewood has been
a pure pleasure. The staff are wonderful and the location of the hotel is smack
in the middle of downtown, right beside prime shopping areas and within walking
distance of everything. The rooms are very well appointed. Our bed was large and
deliciously comfortable which was very important after a transatlantic flight
and serious jet lag. The restaurant downstairs has a wonderful ambience, great
food and staff that are friendly and efficient. This hotel has a wonderful
balance between luxury and hominess. They run a superbly efficient business
while managing to maintain a local almost family feel. I really cannot recommend
this hotel enough.

The most efficient and friendliest service that I have ever received. Great
food, even room service was superior. A boutique hotel that is exceptional in
every way. I will never stay anywhere else in Vancouver.

My husband and I stayed at the Wedgewood one night on our honeymoon in a deluxe
suite. The staff were friendly and we were very happy with our room. The next
time we are in Vancouver we will probably stay in this hotel again because
although we were here for a short period of time, we were very impressed with
the Wedgewood!

Our room (deluxe suite) was large and tastefully decorated with excellent
facilities such as 2 x plasma tv's, a huge amount of wardrobe and drawer space
and a marble bathroom with a vast walk in shower.
The Bacchus lounge was a great way to wind down for the day and has an extensive
bar that should suit all tastes and budgets.
The staff were all friendly, efficient and eager to help. This hotel is
definitely on a par with some of the best in the world and we highly recommend
it.

Right from check in I was made to feel welcome and taken care of. All of the
staff were very
friendly, polite and the attention to detail was unbelievable. My weekend away
was fabulous, thanks to the Wedgewood Hotel. Highly recommended.

We booked this a few days before travelling and managed to get a very good rate
on a deluxe suit. The room was incredible and had a balcony overlooking Robson
Square - request this side of the hotel if possible. The service was
particularly good and personalized, the mark of a real boutique hotel. After a
long transatlantic flight I had a massage in the spa that helped with a stiff
back considerably! This really was a special place to stay and as good a city
hotel as I've stayed in - highly recommended.

I stayed at the Wedgewood hotel for 4 nights and I have to say that from start
to finish the service was exceptional. Not all smaller hotels manage to get
service 100% right, while larger hotels tend to be impersonal. The Wedgewood
manages to be both friendly and exceptionally professional. From arranging a car
to pick up at the airport, to pre-booking a spa day, to ad hoc advice on what to
do in Vancouver the hotel staff couldn't be faulted.
Not cheep but worth every penny.

I haven't stayed here, but their lounge ... wow! Lovely. If you want a
traditional clubby type atmosphere, this is your place. Attentive service,
tasty, tasty, tasty drinks, and really delightful rich snacks in front of a
roaring fire. Lovely old dark wood richly upholstered poshness. When you're in
the mood for that sort of thing, this is your place. I particularly recommend
the pizza, it's got a perfect super-crisp thin crust.

I can't imagine a better place to stay in Vancouver. My sister and I went up to
Vancouver for a girls' weekend and had a great time. The hotel is lovely and the
location could not be better. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully
decorated. The staff were professional, fun, and beyond helpful. The hotel bar
Bacchus is a lounge I would enjoy even if I weren't staying at the hotel itself.
All around great choice.

My husband and I stayed at the Wedgewood for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon.
We then returned for a one night stop over on our way back from Vancouver Island
a few days later, before flying to Toronto.
We were met by very friendly staff when we arrived - tired after 2 days on the
Rocky Mountaineer train. We were shown up to our room, and not allowed to carry
a single piece of our own luggage. The room had everything we could have wished
for - a wonderful bathroom, as well as a bath in the main room, and our own
balcony. The owner of the hotel had left a personal message and chocolates from
Daniels - just around the corner and highyl recommended. On our return visit we
found a further message from the owner, welcoming us back (even though it was
only for one night!) and a bottle of wine.
We found breakfast expensive but very nice, and had a wonderful meal in the
Bacchus restaurant one evening. We had booked our honeymoon as a package and so
I cannot comment on the value for money of the hotel as we considered the
overall cost rather than the cost of any individual hotel.
The location was perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to recomend the Wedgewood. We
would love to return one day!

From the moment that we walked in to the Wedgewood it was a fantastic
experience. The valet was efficient and we were checked in very speedily. The
room was lovely, clean and well furnished. The bathroom was great. No detail was
too small, down to the nice toiletries and great quality coffee. In the evening,
there was water and cookies and a turn down service. Dinner in Bacchus was a
treat, the food was excellent with a relaxed ambience. Our stay included the
continental breakfast which was nice. Looks like they have a pretty good gym and
the spa looks lovely. The location is great and near to the heart of Vancouver
with all its attractions and good shopping. The courtesy, professionalism and
warmth exuded by all the staff was exemplary...loved the total attention to
detail. Will certainly be coming back again...very, very highly recommended.
Congratulations to the staff at the Wedgewood...awesome!

Often described as Vancouver's premier boutique hotel by people in the know, my
wife and I set off for the Wedgewood from our home ,about 5 km's away. You see,
my wife had won a gift certificate for the Wedgewood and we eagerly awaited our
1 night stay.
From the moment we stopped at the front door and the valet promptly whisked my
car away to sleep for the night, we could tell we were in for a treat.
On entering the lobby ,you are greeted by an aromatic smell ,on the day ,a
combination of flowers and cinnamon, which permeated the hotel-even as far as
the 11th floor where we stayed.
The room ( a Deluxe 1 bed suite) was immaculate, complete with complimentary box
of chocolates and welcoming letters from both the owner of the establishment as
well as GM. Really unbelievable attention to detail ,which is often sorely
lacking, even in top class hotels.
We decided to immediately go out and explore Robson Street-even though we live
pretty close by-this was probably the first time in 3 years both my wife and I
had been there.
Plenty of restaurants at your doorstep, running the gamut from Indian to
Vietnamese
and everything else in between.
On returning to the room about 2 hours later-we found the bed had been made !!
We had ruffled the duvet slightly when testing the mattress on entering
initially.
Next morning we made our way down to the Bacchus Restaurant for breakfast-which
was satisfactory-not to be ungrateful or anything but a little disappointing-the
obligatory cereals, eggs, toast etc.
All things considered this is really an excellent hotel and highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night after having our intimate
reception dinner in Bacchus restaurant (part of Wedgewood Hotel). It's a
beautiful hotel but I still feel as though it's overpriced. I paid about $350 or
$400 (can't quite remember now as it was 8 months ago) for the one night and I
thought because I was spending about $1500 having my wedding dinner at Bacchus
and it was my wedding night they would have given me a discount but they didn't.
I was able to negotiate a late check-out (2pm, not that great) and they gave us
a bottle of sparkling wine but that's about it.
The room was beautiful with a Jacuzzi tub and a nice big bed but, the more I
think about it, it still wasn't worth the price necessarily. The hotel is
definitely clean and definitely in a nice area.
I would say this hotel is a great place to stay for a splurge - wedding night,
anniversary, one night of a longer trip but I can't imagine it would be worth
the $300 or more a night to stay here for a full week. Other fancy hotels would
have more amenities and maybe a kitchenette in the room or something.

My husband and I stayed at the Wedgewood for 5 nights and loved it! The beds are
amazing, the staff is really attentive (they remembered what we ordered for
breakfast), and the location is perfect (right next to all the shopping etc).
The stars love it too. On the last day we were there, Goldie Hawn was at the
table next to us at breakfast.
