A 12-story residence next door to the Georgian Court Hotel is an
excellent choice for travelers on limited budgets. Bedrooms are simply
furnished; some have TVs. Quite a few reasonably priced restaurants and
a number of grocery stores are nearby. Three communal kitchens are
available for guests' use, and all rooms have mini fridges. The Y has
three TV lounges and free access to the best gym in town

I stayed there for 3 days when I arrived in Vancouver, before finding an
apartment.
It was very safe so I could leave all my stuff in my room while visiting
accommodations all day long.
The hotel is well situated as you can walk in Downtown Vancouver and
there are two Skytrain stations close by : the Stadium-Chinatown station
on Expo and Millenium lines, and the Yaletown station on Canada line
(the one that links Downtown Vancouver to the airport).
I had already been in a hotel with a shared bathroom, so it didn't
bother me. There were two bathrooms on my floor, one with shower only
and the other one with shower, washbasin and toilets. I never found any
of these unavailable in 3 days. However, I couldn't figure out how to
get hot water in the showers (but then it's my fault if I didn't ask).
Rooms are clean and there was a washbasin in mine.
The staff is very nice and helpful. You can ask them anything about
visiting Vancouver or living in Canada, they'll answer eagerly even if
it has nothing to do with your stay at the hotel itself.
There's a locked storage room if you need to leave heavy things for a
few hours after check out.
Finally, I thought wireless internet was included in the price of the
room, but actually it's 6 CAD a day (24 hours from the time you buy it).

The place is clean. The bathrooms, toilets and kitchens are very clean
and cleaned on a daily basis. The staff were always warm and welcoming
and have alot of information on hand. Coffee is always available
although there are not much breakfast choices from the cafe. The
location starts on the main drag, Robson St. It was a clean and safe
area and also close to the GM Place. This is THE ONLY place to stay if
you are on a budget but want a clean room and safe location.

Its a nice modern and reasonable priced hotel in downtown Vancouver. It
includes kitchen on some floors. The hotel is across the street from BC
Place. It is in a safe part of town where you can walk at night

Clean, cheap, secure, and located in downtown area. The people down in
the reception are really friendly and helpful. The hotel was always full
of young people. Nice place to stay if you're looking for something
cheap and comfortable.

The front desk staff helped make my trip comfortable. They were so
helpful, efficient and friendly and I'd definitely go back. The location
is great and the coffee bar in the lobby is convenient. The best deal in
town.

Besides being awesome value for the location, the place I thought was
actually worth more if you compare it too other options close by. The
staff were extremely helpful.. set us up for our trip to Whistler, they
really know they’re stuff. Clean, safe etc. Plenty of bars around too..
recommended.

Stayed here for 4 nights back in Dec when in Vancouver. Across the road
from BC Place. Easy walk to main shopping areas downtown and transport.
Communal kitchen was clean and had lockable cupboards (bring own lock).
Staff were very helpful, friendly. Good accommodation for the price.

The YWCA Hotel 733 Beatty Street is across the street from BC Place, where
the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Games are scheduled to take
place. This 11-story, 155-room tower was built in 1995 and has the look of a
modern university dormitory — Ikea-esque furnishings, common kitchens, TV
lounges, hall baths for about one-third of the rooms. (The rest have private or
semi-private bathrooms.)
Design is not the goal here, however. The YWCA has a higher purpose: helping
travelers in need. That can mean everyone from refugees and women escaping
domestic violence to foreign professors attending academic conferences to people
who’ve simply lost their wallets and need somewhere to stay for the night.
Winter room rates start at 58 dollars, and about 30 percent of that goes to fund
the Y’s many social-service programs.

I stayed at ywca@beatty street in dec while attending a conf.
you get the following: friendly staff, clean & warm rooms, good housekeeping and
great ambiance. count on the front desk staff for any assistance and help. in
fact if you wish you could stop reading at this point and get the rest from the
front desk!
the hotel has an almost ideal location. Robson st and Georgia st are full of
shops and cafes. important ones are London drugs, sears, (pacific and bay are
lil more costly) a good Indian restaurant India gate on Robson. add to this
Vancouver art gallery and Vancouver public library virtually next door to ywca.
and and of course this is just 5 mins walk from Vancouver central skyline
station. even Stanley park is just a walk away for the health conscious! this is
true of any other hotel in Robson and Georgia, but ywca is friendly to yr
pocket. cost is cheap but not the quality! highly recommended for ppl on a
budget, esp students.
