These Vancouver Hotel reviews are the subjective opinion of a Guest and not of Allure Hotels any
concerns or request can be made at time of booking either on-line or on the

I stayed at ywca@beatty street in dec while attending a conf.
you get the following: friendly staff, clean & warm rooms, good housekeeping and
great ambiance. count on the front desk staff for any assistance and help. in
fact if you wish you could stop reading at this point and get the rest from the
front desk!
the hotel has an almost ideal location. Robson st and Georgia st are full of
shops and cafes. important ones are London drugs, sears, (pacific and bay are
lil more costly) a good Indian restaurant India gate on Robson. add to this
Vancouver art gallery and Vancouver public library virtually next door to ywca.
and and of course this is just 5 mins walk from Vancouver central skyline
station. even Stanley park is just a walk away for the health conscious! this is
true of any other hotel in Robson and Georgia, but ywca is friendly to yr
pocket. cost is cheap but not the quality! highly recommended for ppl on a
budget, esp students.

we only stayed one night, but wished I had booked for longer. Very clean rooms
and well equipped for budget accommodation. If you are thinking of getting a
private room in a hostel, this is the best option. We had stayed previously in
HI Vancouver Downtown, and this was a much nicer room. We were really high up
and got great views of the city, plus hotel extras like towels, bathroom, and tv.
This hostel is an economical option which is clean safe and comfortable. They
had great service. Would highly recommend

Stayed at the YWCA with my friend for 7 nights in total. Check in was friendly
and helpful, especially appreciated after almost 24 hours travelling! Rooms were
basic, but very clean and welcoming.. The hotel was in a great location for us-
just across from BC Place and GM Place, next to some good bars and restaurants
and just minutes walk from the centre of town. Being 2 young females, we always
felt safe, which was a big concern for us being so far from home! The little
coffee shop within the hotel was also greatly appreciated first thing in the
morning and was again, friendly and welcoming.
All in all, i'd highly recommend this hotel to any traveler for it's laid back,
friendly service and it's great value for money!

This hotel is unique. It is similar to a no-frills hotel with a small room.
However, it is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver so walking places is
easy and the price is much less than you would find at a commercial hotel. It is
a new building so it is extremely secure and was built with several price
accommodations in mind. You can have a room with a private bathroom or a room
without a bathroom at all, using the facilities down the hall. There is a shared
kitchen and laundry available. Thus, there is a price for everyone. We met young
people retired teachers, and groups of students. It was quiet, clean and
friendly. Parking was inexpensive. Best of all, it produces income for the YWCA
programs!

I stayed here for two nights at the start of my holiday. I had a single room
with a shared bathroom, which means there is one shower and toilet shared
between two rooms. My room was clean and basic, but had plenty of space, a wash
basin and a fridge. The shared bathroom concept is a little strange as it can
feel like there's a stranger in your en-suite (which, in fact, there is!).
However, the locking system means that no-one can enter the other room by
accident. The hotel's location is fantastic and, for the price, it is excellent
value for money. There's also a small coffee bar in reception which is perfect
for a quick and cheap breakfast.

The location is in downtown, sky train is not far away. We, 5 adults had stayed
in your hotel for 8 days in a room for five with air-conditioning, private
bathroom, television. Unexpectedly, there are 5 separate beds for us. They are
clean and tidy. It is much better than those queen or king size beds. The
security is excellent. We have to use our key in order to take us up to our
floor. The counter service is also good. They are helpful and courtesy. One of
them can speak Cantonese. As we came from Hong Kong, Cantonese is more
convenient in communication. When we return to Hong Kong, we strongly recommend
your hotel to our friends. Bye!

We chose a room with one Queen bed and private bathroom, it was very very nice
with all the amenities you have in a 4 star hotel, it wasn't a big room though,
but for us was more than enough, since we didn't spend much time there. I
specially liked the fact that the sink, mirror and hairdryer were outside the
washroom which makes it easier for two people to get ready in the morning. The
front desk staff were extremely helpful giving advices how/where/what to visit.
I also liked the fact that you need the room key, to have the lifts running.

When I used to live in Victoria, I often stayed here when I came to the
mainland. A comfortable, clean & well-kept downtown hotel. Not like other
YWCA/YMCA lodging I've seen, this one just feels like a nice hotel. Plus the
profits from the hotel go to support the charitable work of the YWCA in
Vancouver so it feels good.... :)

I was a little leery when I booked this since my budget only allowed for a semi
private room, however at check in I was upgraded to a private bath so that made
it an even better value. The room was adequate size, bed was older not very
plush, but everything was clean. The small refrigerator was handy. Location is
probably better than I experienced, it took me my whole stay to figure out where
to find inexpensive eating places (turn right and go over to Robson) and how to
get around on the transit. As a result I walked far too much :-).It is on the
farthest edge of the downtown area (across from BC Stadium), so it is quite a
hike to things like Canada Place or the main shopping, more than I can do, so
you'd need to figure out the transit system. I bought an all day pass for $9.
Also, be aware that there are no airport shuttle buses from this part of
downtown, so you will need to take a taxi for about $30 Canadian each way.
I didn't find the lobby snack bar very useful, no sandwiches and limited
pastries. On last day I found the IGA (over on Robson). Laundry facilities were
reasonable prices, internet access in the lobby was also very reasonable, and
public library a few blocks away allows guest use of the internet for free. Safe
location on Beatty between Georgia and Robson. Other quests seemed to be seniors
and young adults backpacking or biking, all seemed friendly.
Biggest complaint was how noisy the heat/ air conditioning unit was. I turned it
off when I went to bed. You are in a big city, so there is some street noise if
your room is in the front.
Overall, if I could afford something more central I would prefer that. If you
can only afford this hotel or not stay in downtown area, then the YWCA is a
great value. Next time I'll know my way around better.

My husband and I stayed here for a total of five nights and felt the hotel was a
very nice value for the price.
We had a room with a private bath and it was very clean.
The front desk staff was especially nice and made us feel welcome. It was not a
luxury hotel, but I would recommend it to anyone who wanted both economy and
safety.

I stayed in YWCA for a week. It was very comfortable and the staff are very
friendly. The location is also accessible to many important places like Robson
street, China Town and also very near to the Sky train station
