My family stayed here while my son was in a hockey tournament in Coquitlam. The
drive to the planet ice was 40 min on a weekday and 20 on the weekends. The
hotel still seems new (I think its only 5-7 yrs old). The breakfast was great
with boiled eggs, waffles, muffins, bagels, apples/oranges, juices (real oj!)
and porridge packs, cereals, etc. plenty for every taste. The pool has a water
slide and small pool area for toddlers as well. The hot tub wasn't working the
first night but they had someone fixing it the next day. For the Tim Hortons
fans, there's one within walking distance (5 min). The front desk clerk even
offered to rent us any movie we wanted to watch in their movie room! Service
above and beyond!

Great - but isolated
I got this with Expedia's "Unpublished rates" - I selected "Langley". What I got
was Langley Township (like a county in the US). It was 15 km to Langley City
(and my mother's house). In fact, my phone's gps thought I was in Abbotsford. I
was actually in the town of Aldergrove (in Langley TOWNSHIP!). So, when using
this 'cool' feature be aware that your hotel may be in the next town! Other than
that the hotel was clean, very quiet ('way off season!) but not too near
anything! Very clean, good service, great breakfast!

Great for Families!!
The man at the counter was very nice. We checked in early on a Sunday and it
wasn't a problem at all. It was raining outside, so we were so happy to have the
indoor pool with water slide and hot tub. My God Daughter is only 18 months so
the baby side of the pool was fantastic. We stayed in the suite with the bunk
beds. The beds were comfy and the rooms were nice, had a fridge and coffee
maker. Good toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was great. A real waffle
maker, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juice, bagel, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, and hot
chocolate and tea and coffee. I would definitely stay again at this hotel. No
problems what so ever. And the zoo is real close! Have a great time!!

GREAT value for the money
Awesome hotel - especially for kids (pool/hot tub/water slide/fitness room open
7am to 10pm) or anyone looking for a good deal. Good soundproofing between the
rooms (didn't hear a thing). Good continental breakfast and it wasn't that busy.
Clean, affordable, just off the highway - I'd stay here again in a heart beat.

out in the sticks nothing around but the zoo
half hour after checking in. the same lady called rcmp on me because it was
"suspicious" and i was in the parking lot with someone in a black sports car
being suspicious? I have never been there before and don't know anyone in the
area. was with my 7 yr old son when rcmp came to me which made explaining myself
awkward in front of.. rcmp laughed at the so called complaint and that was that.
hotel is nice otherwise front desk clerk needs to socialize more with humans
instead of her pets during their personal lives

I was there for 3 nights while on business 1 block away. A good location if you
want on & off the freeway. The rooms are well maintained as also the hallways &
lobby. The conti b/fast in the morning is very good. 2 tv's in the eating area.
1 with morning news while the other have cartoons. Good idea if travelling with
kids. The staff is very pleasant 7 professional. Lots of parking. You will not
be disappointed staying at this Super 8. "Well done Super 8".

I booked thru Priceline name your own price and was simply spending the night as
I was passing thru. Despite being listed in the locations for Vancouver it was
about 50 miles out of town in an industrial park. The motel itself tho, is quite
nice. A newer place with a good sized room, free internet in the lobby and a
very good continental breakfast.

I have to say that I was very happy with this hotel! I am use to staying in a
more upscale but wanted to stay here because I was travelling with my 4 year old
and he loved the idea of a waterslide! We were just heading to Vancouver for a
two day mommy and son get away and found the hotel perfect!
Room: clean large room. Nothing fancy...no exceptional bedding etc. Very basic,
but clean and quiet. Face it people this is the Super 8 not the Hilton so
obviously it is going to not be upper level accommodations. no road noise, good
size, mini fridge, king bed, desk, chair, coffee maker etc.
Breakfast: fabulous. basic but great. toast, bagels, jams, cereals, coffee,
juice, hard boiled eggs, turnover's, muffins and WAFFLES!! good stuff.
Pool Area: FABULOUS!!!! great waterslide, mini water park, hot tub, great indoor
facility with pool towels and even an outdoor patio area you can sit out on and
enjoy the sun. It provided both my son and I with hours of fun. Pool open from
7am-10:30pm
Location / Distances: this hotel is in Langley not Vancouver so if you want to
be close to Vancouver do not stay here. It is about an hour to Stanley Park with
traffic etc. It is about 35 minutes to Cultus Lake waterpark which was totally
fabulous also. If you have time and it is a nice day then make a trip to the
waterpark! Google it for info. The hotel is right off the freeway (but still
very quiet to stay at) with a huge grassy area with a volleyball net set up,
wild bunnies, large safe paking lot. McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Gas station, Subway
all next door too.
Cost. Great price for what you get. We paid $84/night and booked right from the
super8 webpage. That was the best rate we could find.
Extras:
Internet area free for use, wireless in all rooms for free, free papers, maps
brochures. All day coffee and tea. |
