It's a cheap motel with a trailer park next door. It's dirty but decent. I would
not stay here unless desperate.

I came down from Terrace to see my children. I booked three nights in this
hotel. I arrived and paid for one night. When I dropped off my suitcases I was a
little leary as to how clean the room was. Later that day when I came back we
took a closer look. The room stunk...bad. The rug was stained with slimy wet
stains. On a closer look at the bed...the cover had holes in it...but worse
yet...the mattress was filthy and had black things and a build up of dirt that
in my opinon has been there a long time. The room was filthy! I took my things
and moved to the hotel across the street which was spotless. I would like my
money back. I did not stay in the room. My suitcases were there for a while but
we did not use the room. We have pictures and I will have no problem putting
them up on the internet. Never have I seen such a disgusting room. I was a hotel
maid so I know there is no excuse for this. They said they were renovating but
that is not an excuse for this filth. I will think hard before I ever stay at
another travel lodge. I though it had a good reputation. This hotel has many
many bad reviews and nothing has been done about it which tells me that the
reputation of the travel logde has gone downhill. I would like a full refund for
the night I paid for.

We are sorry about your stay at the Maple Ridge Travelodge. And how your
expectations were not met when you checked in, but you did address your concern
when you checked if you would have we would of happily moved you to a room that
met your satisfaction. You waited till 8 hours later to address your issues. The
Front desk staff explained to you that due to the fact that you were checked in
for eight hours that we were unable to give a refund. So due to that fact we are
unable to give you a full refund. I was told that you did receive a discount
when you checked out. What I can offer you is a discount on your next stay. In
one of our newly renovated rooms at $40 a night before tax $44.80 after taxes.
If you do decide to take this offer please do not hesitate to call me personally
Friday - Tuesday from 6am-2pm. I would again like to apologize for any wrong
doing on our parts. And hope that you will give us the opportunity to make up
for your stay.Hotel Reviews Travelodge Maple Ridge

I'm dealing with about three dozen bed bug bites (possibly) more that are
driving me insane. I checked out this morning after finally admitting that
there's a problem. My husband and I literally took the bed apart down to the
frame and didn't see any of the little critters, but we did notice that the
mattress and box spring had been encased in a cover (I've since discovered this
is a way to get rid of the bugs, but it takes months and it's probably
ineffective if you keep putting a food source like a human on the bed). Don't
think because you've checked the bed and haven't seen any of the little critters
that you're safe. YOU'RE NOT! Believe me - I checked. They hide in little cracks
and LOVE hiding behind the headboards attached to the walls (as so many hotels
have). They'll hide pretty much anywhere. Anyhow, if you stay at this
hotel.......just beware. The front desk staff are friendly and were very
sympathetic when I talked to them about it - I honestly think they felt bad. The
owner on the other hand???? Hmmmm......I'm still waiting for his phone call
after I left my name and number with the front desk. BTW - Mr. Owner if you're
reading this now...DON"T BOTHER CALLING!

There is nothing special about this hotel What people seem to not know is that
smoking is allowed in some of the rooms The rooms that have no smoking signs on
them are for non smokers the rooms that don't have signs on them allow smoking.
The beds are uncomfortable and sagging The cleanliness is the bare minimum
(vacuum, make sure you have towels and toiletries and the bed are made) but you
can see in the corners its been a while since they've been seen at all. The
dishes in the suites are thrift store throwaways with chipped plates and scarred
pots and pans. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to town but there is bus
service a block away. Two restaurants across the street and a video store.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family but if your a road crew and
need a place to hang your hat, watch some t.v. eat and be able to smoke. This is
the hotel. No Frills.

This hotel did have a clean tub, sink, bed and toilet. The big negatives were
the dirty rug in room, uncomfortable bed, and very, very smoky. The halls
smelled like smoke and it really drifted in the room. If you get stuck and need
a one night hotel this one will do in a pinch. It was not horrible like some
hotels I've seen and read about, but it did have many negatives. I would suggest
staying somewhere else if possible, but this hotel will do in a pinch, a real
pinch.

This hotel may not be a 5 star gem, but it certainly fulfilled my needs.
The staff was very helpful in giving directions and suggesting things to do
during my stay. The rooms were clean but the decor could use some updating.
The halls were a little smoky due to the smoking rooms being mixed throughout
the hall. But once I got in my room it was quite pleasant!
