I stayed here when picking up someone from the airport (YVR). Driving down from
Whistler, the location is excellent as it is not as busy at this end of town
with easy access to Hwy 1. It is also 1 block from the Lions Gate Bridge and
Stanley Park, and a few blocks from the Capilano Suspension Bridge
Check in was very fast and the front desk person was very helpful and
informative as this was my first time in Vancouver. He was very happy to direct
me to eating places and local tourist attractions, which were easy to
understand.
The room was very big and the beds were perfect (we had an amazing sleep). We
almost slept in and missed breakfast! We were very pleased with the continental
breakfast and I must say that the waffles were really good!.
I will definitely be staying here again next time I need to drive down to
Vancouver and I would recommend this to anyone doing the same. The customer
service is great as the employees go out of their way to ensure that you have an
excellent stay, and the price is very good.

We stayed in a King efficiency room with full kitchen for $77 CAD with our Sam's
club discount. This was over a weekend too. Room & bath have been updated and
are clean. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, cereal, bread, Danish
,juice & toaster waffles. Basic Continental. The staff however is worth
mentioning. Jay was at the front desk when we checked in and couldn't have been
more helpful or friendly. The young man a t the desk in the morning was also
very friendly and helped me print our trolley tickets. The hotel computer didn't
have Adobe which I needed, he called the trolley company to see if he could get
me the same deal, when they told him it had to be done online, he sent me to the
Best Western next door. I was able to get it done there and saved alot of money
on the 2 day pass. I would recommend the Vancouver Trolley if you've never been
to the city before. Book your tickets online to get the best deal. It's a hop on
,hop off trolley. You can get the 2 day pass for less than the 1 day pass
online. This hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Prospect Point lookout in
Stanley Park.(@ 9am on Sunday) Would definitely stay here again. There are
plenty of services nearby. We ate dinner both nights about 1 mile down Marine.

Only minutes away from Stanley Park and downtown, Park Royal Mall nearby,
Denny's within walking distance. Had a good stay (3 nights).

I had expected a typical Comfort Inn. What we got was roadside cheap motel. They
had a "quiet back section away from the road", where we could park right outside
our room. Okay, we agreed... then we saw the room. Crammed with two beds, a
dumpy little kitchenette, a dumpy little bathroom, and even worse, the air
conditioner was directly beside one of the beds. I mean, *directly* beside. If
it was turned off, the room was stifling and smelled musty. When turned on, it
blasted cold air directly across the bed. Seriously, it was about 6 inches from
the bed, and it was impossible to redirect the air flow. Worst sleep of our 2
week trip. But, I will say, the front desk staff was very helpful when we
checked in, and had we complained, I'm sure it would have been dealt with. But
we were tired, and only going to be there for one night.

After spending hours on the computer comparing hotels for a place to stay, we
chose the Comfort Inn on Capilano Road. What a gem of a place! Even though the
rooms are not modern, they are unbelievably clean. The king size bed was
wonderful. We purchased day passes for the public transit system which got us
every where and in less time than if we had rented a car. The "gem" of our stay
was Helen, the day clerk at the hotel. She was so helpful, so pleasant and so
kind. On our last day we walked out leaving behind directions she had written
down for us on the counter. We were standing at our bus stop - in the rain - and
looked up and here was Helen (umbrella in hand) running towards us - bringing us
our directions for a faster route to the airport! What priceless service! Thank
you Helen for putting the cherry on the top of our "sundae".
