Hotel Review of the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites North Vancouver

This is a beautiful hotel, interior and exterior. My husband and I
stayed one week in this hotel. The suite we got when we arrived was
facing the freeway and we asked to be moved to another suite, it was
done without problem. The only flaw we found was the small window in the
bedroom which made the bedroom dark and enclosed, the living room is
spacious and bright. Cleaning staff is excellent. The restaurant is good
but the service is rather slow especially early in the morning.

I stayed at the hotel over the Christmas period and thoroughly enjoyed
it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was sizable and
comfortable. My room was located a couple of stories above the main
hotel entrance - I sleep with the window open, and once noted a small
amount of noise late in the evening, but don't consider that an issue (I
was jet-lagged and awake at an odd hour!).
We were given the option of room cleaning/servicing over Christmas and
Boxing Day - the hotel was trying to operate with a reduced workforce
(quite understandable). I chose not to have my room cleaned on those two
days, but we were advised that fresh towels would always be available.
Again - not an issue for me.
The Pantry restaurant generally offers a full a la carte menu, but on
Christmas day, a buffet only was available - but still included cooked
food (eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc.). The service there seemed rather
chaotic, if not friendly and helpful. The food prices are on the high
(almost unreasonable) side.
Overall, a very nice hotel - I'll stay there again!

Stayed here two week-ends in a row ( with a trip to Vancouver Island in
between ). Loved the quiet location and space ...but so well located
with easy access to the area's around - downtown, ferry terminal, grouse
mountain etc.
Staff were so friendly, rooms were clean and comfy and the facilities
were great.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Vancouver. You
might think it is too far away from the centre...but you'd be wrong -
this is an excellent base for discovering Vancouver.

Wonderful place to stay...the staff is so pleasant, willing, and
cheerful. It was Christmas and the Lobby and Grounds were beautifully
decorated. The pool water was nice and warm. The wee lounge is intimate
and friendly, and the Pantry Restaurant onsite is a notch above most
Pantry Restaurants.
A convenient Wine and Beer store, plus Westview Pizza's across the
street makes this an ideal 'retreat' spot. Park your car and enjoy.
Beds, pillows great...everything is A1+.
Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel had friendly staff, a good workout room and pool area, was
clean and had places to eat on or right near the premises with a grocery
store within walking distance. The location of the hotel in relation to
the downtown area or where most of the store and/or attractions were was
not close. You would need to rent a car, take a taxi or the bus. But the
bus stop was very close to hotel and the public transportation was
useful for getting around.
