Very small rooms, ants everywhere. Carpet filthy, mould in bathroom. Expected
more from comfort inn.

Vancouver is an expensive town and we needed two rooms for a two night stay.
Really just looking for a place to sleep and that’s what you get here -- a place
to sleep that won’t turn your stomach but you’ll be happy to leave for the day.

We were a party of 4 with one infant so the suite (room) was a little cramped,
but it had a kitchenette so it was ok for the price. Also they do not have a 2
guests only per room, so that was economical. But we were a little put off to
see the cleaning people put towels and sheets in the corridor outside the rooms
and some even in the mud and plants. They have a good breakfast spread which is
free. Overall its good value for money and one of the cheapest we could find in
Vancouver.

My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in North Vancouver while
visiting family. I booked the hotel online after reading the reviews. Price was
great, hotel was basically what we expected - this is no five star.
I am a smoker and my husband is not, so we always book non smoking rooms and I
respect those rules. On check in, the front desk clerk informed me that she
could smell cigarette smoke on me and then proceeded to lecture me on the proper
way to exit the room ("take your key and close the door properly) to smoke
outside. I found her to be patronizing and condescending. My husband and I are
not teenagers and I resented her tone a great deal.
Housekeeping did not clean our room until late afternoon the first day (and did
not appear to ever vacuum), and then woke us up the next two days to try and
get entry into the room early in the morning.
My husband ate the breakfast each day and said it was okay.
You get what you pay for - although I did not pay to be condescended to - a
little training in customer service for Helen at the front desk would be a good
thing! |
