Could benefit from some updating
We booked this hotel for the location and the good write-ups. We arrived late at
night but it was an easy check-in with underground parking below the hotel and a
short elevator ride up to the lobby. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
The rooms are functional but a little run down and the decor is dated. Our room
was cold when we first entered; it has a heater next to the window which we had
to start ourselves. This hotel severed it’s purpose as a stop-over during our
travels but overall it could benefit from some updating. Next time we will try
something different.

Great get away concept
The amenities were nice. The
Market at Lonsdale Quay was great. The carpet was dirty/stained,
dust built up in the corners and the bathtub had mould.

great relaxing get away.
A great hotel. under cover, secure parking with elevator to hotel floor. great
public market and restaurants in same building. hotel very quiet in evening.
spectacular views of Vancouver across the bay. half block to water taxi running
every 30 minutes to down town Vancouver with bus and light rail connections to
any destination. Highly recommend!!

Can’t wait to go back",
Nice clean hotel. The view was very nice. Lots of nice shopping close by. The
market under the hotel was a very good experience. We took the sea bus from the
station (at the bottom of the hotel ) to down town Vancouver. We didn’t need to
worry about parking because the hotel has parking for $ 10 a day. Good deal in
down town Vancouver.

Convenient, affordable and pleasant
The location was fantastic, right at the Seabus terminal and the view was a very
pleasant surprise!

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location!
Hotel is conveniently located near water transport to the cruise ships across
the bay. Dock view from room was beautiful. Late check-in was expedited by very
friendly and helpful hotel employee at reception. Room service at that time was
not available, but she made sure we were able to contact the only open
restaurant that could deliver meals at that hour. Room was very clean and the
hotel’s location above a big market was a huge plus. Highly recommend the
Lonsdale Quay Hotel as a unique place to stay.

Great place to stay. Lots of amenities nearby. Ask for water view.
Good value for the $$ considering total package........excellent market,
proximity to ferry, and dining opportunities within easy walking distance. On
cruise return, able to get early check in by calling ahead. Suggest requesting
water view as other alternatives not too attractive ie: passers by have great
view, if they choose, of your temporary habitat...

Rooms need updating, very good location.
I was excited about visiting this hotel because of it’s location. It’s on the
water in the N. Vancouver area. This part of town is a little on the industrial
side as far as the waterfront goes, but it’s interesting. The surrounding area
is great, good restaurants, indoor market attached to hotel, a lot of stuff to
do within walking distance. Our room however was sub-par. The carpet was
stained, bedding old and in need of replacement, and the rooms just had the
feeling on a cheap hotel. I was surprised because the lobby is really nice,
modern, and looks new. The rooms were totally opposite. I would stay again only
if they updated their rooms.

Best location
We choose this hotel for its convenient location and its inclusion in the same
building as the market. Even though the elevator problem was beyond the control
of the hotel, the hotel staff did not adequately provide status or assistance in
helping us cope with the building elevator problems.

Would probably go back.
The room was clean and comfortable, but we found the room to be quite dark and
could have used more lighting fixtures. Upon arriving at our room we identified
some maintenance issues that were attended to promptly. Moving luggage to and
from the hotel and the parking lot was not convenient. The market area below the
hotel was convenient for fresh fruit and/or snacks and there are several
restaurants nearby. We had dinner at The Cheshire Cheese restaurant and we
enjoyed the meal and waterfront location. We definitely saved money on this
booking by using Expedia.

We will definitely return
We liked the location of the hotel because it was steps away from the sea bus.
Being so close to the farmers market, shops and restaurants was fun and
especially convenient. Our room was very quiet. We didn’t hear any noises like
most hotel rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. We drive to Vancouver
every year and this was the first time we didn’t have to use the car at all. It
was the best, most relaxing trip ever. |
