Holiday Inn Broadway Guest Recommendations

 The hotel is really close to downtown and Granville Island. If you want to bus around Vancouver there are bus stations right at the hotel.
If you want to go shopping the closest mall is Pacific Center, which was a very good mall.

the Holiday Inn Centre, it is not located in Downtown Vancouver. It is south of Downtown on the other side of False Creek, with a beautiful view of Downtown, though. To get to the major tourist-attractions you either need a car or you have to use public transport, which is actually quite good in Vancouver. Restaurants, banks, convenience stores, etc. are all within walking distance of the hotel.

We were very close to Granville Island. Take the bus, It's so hard to find parking! I would definitely stay here again

There is a taxi stand right outside the hotel and there is always at least one waiting. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, we went to an Italian place about a block east of the hotel on Broadway called Favouritos based on a recommendation from the front desk (It was amazing! pretty reasonable prices as well) and we ate breakfast at the Denny's about 6 blocks to the west of the hotel on Broadway.

The hotel is about 30 minutes walk from downtown Vancouver but i felt it was a safer place than the city. There is a London Drugstore a street away, as well as a starbucks and several ethnic restaurants nearby.
