Highly recommend the Tea Room at Stanley Park, Trolley rides - guides excellent, the Vancouver Aquarium with Beluga whales and Amazon rainforest is a must see, and local shopping and music and lunch at the Sand Bar at Granville island made for a delightful day.

worth mentioning is that you are connected from the hotel to the food court across the road, we had breakfast in there every morning at the Pita Express, very nice friendly guy called, Alberto, food cooked fresh, no microwave, reasonable prices, and he opens at 5:30am if you are suffering from the time diff from th UK.

The location was great and easy walk to the main shopping area on Robson street, also many restaurants and also the hotel is located on the waterfront which gave some good views and was only a few minutes walk to ferry, train and bus station.

The immediate vicinity around the hotel might be mostly office buildings, but in just a few minutes, you can be in a completely different area. One night, we walked into Gastown and found several great restaurants to choose from. Another night we walked along the waterfront path to the West End for yet another great meal.

During the day, we were minutes from the Art Gallery and Robson Street and a slightly longer walk to Yaletown. From there, we took the walking path from the Marina to the end of False Creek and were able to take the Sky Train just across from Science World directly back to the hotel.
