Highly recommend the Tea Room at Stanley Park, Trolley rides - guides excellent,
the Vancouver Aquarium with Beluga whales and Amazon rainforest is a must see,
and local shopping and music and lunch at the Sand Bar at Granville island made
for a delightful day. The location was great and easy walk to the main shopping area on Robson street, also many restaurants and also the hotel is located on the waterfront which gave some good views and was only a few minutes walk to ferry, train and bus station. The immediate vicinity around the hotel might be mostly office buildings, but in just a few minutes, you can be in a completely different area. One night, we walked into Gastown and found several great restaurants to choose from. Another night we walked along the waterfront path to the West End for yet another great meal. During the day, we were minutes from the Art Gallery and Robson Street and
a slightly longer walk to Yaletown. From there, we took the walking path from
the Marina to the end of False Creek and were able to take the Sky Train just
across from Science World directly back to the hotel. |
