Guest Reviews of the Hampton Inn Vancouver Airport Hotel

I stayed in this hotel for a short layover between flights. My
flight came in in the wee hours of the morning and the shuttle
had already quit running to the hotel. However I called the
front desk via the courtesy phone by the shuttle dock and they
told me to hop in a cab and reimbursed my fee at the hotel. With
it being so late and a another early flight in the morning, I
was not delayed at all. I was pleased to crash in the king size
bed with nice pillows and duvet set. Hotel was clean and they
had a good variety of food available in the kitchen in the
morning while I waited for the shuttle again. Thanks for a great
stay, however short it was.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel after arriving in Vancouver
at around 8 PM on a flight from the United States. This hotel is
one of the closest to YVR and is ideal for those either arriving
in Vancouver late, or departing early. The hotel has a
complimentary shuttle to YVR.
We had a rental car, and found getting to the hotel was not
difficult- just be sure to follow the directions found on the
hotel web site.
The hotel itself is sufficient, but would probably not be ideal
for a long term stay. Our room on the second floor had a king
size bed and a window that opened. The room did not have a
refrigerator, and seemed a bit small for a Hampton Inn. Parking
was free, which was a plus, as many of the larger hotels in
Richmond and Vancouver charge for parking. We did not notice
much aircraft noise, and the hotel corridors seemed quiet.
Breakfast was the standard Hampton Inn fare, with eggs, sausage,
scones, waffles, fruit, and cereal. The desk staff was friendly
and efficient.
In summary, this hotel would be ideal for those having a short
stay in Vancouver/Richmond, or need quick access to YVR.

Our family of 4 stayed here before an early flight in the
morning. The location is great.
Very good selection for breakfast that starts at 6 am.
The room for a family of 4 with 2 teens is small vs Days Inn.
We stayed at Days Inn on the way into Vancouver and found this
hotel was better price-quality : albeit the experiences are
similar.
It would appear security is better since its all card key access
at Hampton vs Days Inn so this maybe a deciding factor for some
too.
Overall, a good choice for 1 night.

We stayed here for one night coming in from a late flight and on
our way to Whistler ski resort. We had previously stayed here 6
years ago too. The location is great with its proximity to the
airport and all the Asian restaurants and markets nearby. We had
a rental car so we were able to drive around the neighborhood
and found a supermarket a couple of miles away to stock up for
the ski trip.
This hotel has a Days Inn behind it and parking was very
limited. We were lucky to find parking at around 10PM in the
covered area. The hotel reception staff we encountered was
friendly and welcoming. The room was a bit smaller than other
Hampton Inns we’ve stayed at but it was clean. The bathroom was
a decent size and was well maintained. We were provided a
bottled water and chocolate cookie as our Hilton HHonors welcome
pack. Complimentary wi-fi was available as HHonors members. The
beds and pillows were comfortable.
We did hear the planes passing overhead and some noise from the
street throughout the night since our window was facing the main
street. If you can, request for a room towards the back of the
hotel. It may minimize street noise.
The complimentary continental breakfast was fine to get you
through the morning. They had a waffle maker and a variety of
yogurt, pastries and cereal. The breakfast area is really small.
This hotel was a good value for a one night especially if you
need to stay near the airport.
