Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn Vancouver Airport

I have stayed at the Comfort Inn Vancouver Inn many times. I must
overnight in Vancouver quite frequently when traveling to and from the
Yukon. I usually want only a bed and TV for a night between plane
connections. This hotel is my choice, especially when I have to pay the
bill. The hotel is old and basic but clean and convenient. Between
planes this is all I need.
The staff is very helpful. On my last trip I dropped off some laundry
traveling out and had it ready and waiting for me when I returned four
days later. I also once made reservations for the wrong night. When I
phoned to correct the error, the immediate response was "No problem!"
There is a beer and wine stored attached to the hotel for relaxation but
the restaurant is not open for dinner. Breakfasts, like the hotel, are
simple and basic.
Until I have a problem here, or win Lotto 6/49, I will return here every
time I transit through Vancouver.

If you don't care about anything but getting some sleep before your
flight for in a low cost hotel then this is it. Not much of a service
and not close to anything but the airport. It has all the essentials,
including free shuttle to and from the airport. Clean, decent size non
smoking rooms. You might need to travel by car or taxi to get some food.
You can make your own coffee and wi-fi (not very fast) is available in
the room.

Staff at front desk needs training on greeting customers. Checked in,
went to room and it had not been cleaned. Moved to another room. Old or
ancient furnishings that need cleaning. Certainly is bare basics for the
price you pay. Picked b/c of airport shuttle which happened to get full
at the adjacent hotel so didn't even stop at Comfort at assigned time.
When I asked the guy at front desk what was up with shuttle that I had
been waiting more than 1/2 hour he said that I hadn't been waiting that
long I just thought I had been waiting that long. Another waiting rider
told him I had indeed been waiting that long b/c he had been there for
at least 25 mins and I was there when he arrived. Young jerk staff!
Shuttle driver confirmed that he didn't stop because he was full. Didn't
help with my flight plans. Will pick a different hotel/chain next time
in the area.

It was recommended by the people at the airport; it was cheap, so I
didn't expect much.
The hotel looks old and unattractive. The lobby and hallways are pretty
ugly. The room I thought was more than adequate and the bed was VERY
comfortable!
Great sleep!! (man I need it though....)

Outstanding Service
When I was checking in, I asked the gentleman at the front desk if he
knew of a store in the area that sold luggage and would still be open
(it was a Sunday night). He then proceeded to call just about every
store and shopping centre in the area to find out. He determined that
the Walmart located 15-20 minutes away was the only choice. He then
printed out directions to and from the store for me. All of this took
nearly a half hour of his time! The level of customer service he
provided was extraordinary in every way. There are plenty of hotels near
Vancouver International Airport, but I doubt any of them could surpass
the Comfort Inn’s obvious dedication to meeting its guests’ needs and
making their stay enjoyable.

Cleanliness of room was excellent, and the airport shuttle was very
convenient.
Initial impression of the exterior of the building, and the interior of
the hotel reception were not good.

We used the Comfort Inn Vancouver Airport so that we could be sure to
make a 9.00 a.m. flight departure the following morning. Our room was
quite comfortable and well sound insulated and the free shuttle service
to the airport worked well.

A decent hotel with a convenient shuttle to/from the airport. Checking
in was a breeze, the room was clean, and the staff were quite helpful.
If you're looking for an inexpensive overnighter before your flight this
is the place to stay.
