Guest Reviews of the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport
Mar 5, 2011
We stayed at this hotel for one night earlier this week. Our experience
was very positive. The front desk staff were very helpful, the rooms
clean, the bed ("Sleep by Number") very comfortable, the location was
(for us) excellent -- very near the airport and right beside a metro
stop. We had a lovely view overlooking the waterway and across to the
airport. While we worried about airplane noise, it was not a problem.
Free parking. (However the parking lot is right on the street. I could
see how the cars might be vulnerable to vandals per an earlier post.)
Complimentary internet. The hotel is located in an asian neighborhood.
Across the street is an asian shopping mall with a fabulous food court
-- Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai. I normally totally avoid
food courts. But this one was a wonderful surprise. Overall, I would
absolutely return to this hotel.

we stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. we arrived quite late on our 1st
night and when we entered our room, we had to do a lot of callings...
first, the baby crib wasn't found (they said it was in our room and it
was, still folded and no bed sheets or pillow..) and then when we opened
the sofa bed, lots of hair in it and was disgusting (they said they
don't usually replace it since it wasn't used on a regular basis!!!) the
next morning, we put up a "do not disturb" sign on our door before we
headed down for breakfast thinking we will come up and change to our
bathing suits real quick and didn't want cleaning staff to come just
yet. when we came back, a lady already in our room and when we asked to
enter, she told us to wait for another 20mins so she can finish!! who
has the priority to the room?? guests or cleaning staff?? ridiculous!!!
also, i had a peeled orange left on the table for my daughter and the
staff trashed it. I think the hardware of this hotel is alright but the
staff should be trained to be a more competitive standard.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights whilst attending a meeting. The
hotel is well maintained, the rooms a reasonable size and the staff
courteous. the on-site Chinese restaurant 'red star' serves good dim sum
and excellent dinner items for reasonable prices ( for 2 people - $36
dim sum and $51 for dinner). Aberdeen center and second mall just over
the street as is the skytrain station.
Found the sleep number beds a good idea but not user friendly - Ii
wanted to go to bed to sleep not play with my mattress!!
Very good location and good acess to airport (free shuttle) and
downtown. Would stay here again
