Never Go to Travelodge Richmond Vancouver Again
The hotel is located in a crime infested area. A lots of car break in incidents.
But the hotel stuff pretended nothing happened. I stayed there for only one
night. The next morning, I found out my car which parked in the hotel parking
lot was broken into. My cell phone charger and my new GPS were stolen. My car
window was smashed into. The hotel manager and owner knew about the crime. My
incident was not the first. But they did nothing. They could have enclosed their
parking lot easily like Holiday Day Inn. They could have partoled the parking
lot. They could have put a big sign at check in desk to warn the guests. They
did none of that. I asked them to refund me my hotel stay as a gesture. But they
said No. If you are driving a car with US license plate you are a target for
break in.

Would recommend, but not if you’re booking it for the pool/hot tub
We booked this hotel mainly for the location but booked it over other options
because it had a pool and hot tub which we thought would be relaxing after a
long day. We were disappointed that the hot tub was barely warmer than a luke
warm bath, and the pool was so cold I’m not sure who would want to use it. If
you’re booking this hotel for the pool/hot tub, you’d be better booking
somewhere else. Also, we had a king room and the sofa was barely more than an
armchair so both of us couldn’t sit there at the same time. Overall though,
everything else was great for the money we paid. Bed was comfy and clean, and
the location was good: Tim Horton’s is down the street and Moxie’s is across the
parking lot for an easy meal. The airport shuttle is very handy.

Sorry about the late posting of this hotel. Totally slipped my mind/ My wife and
I travelled to Vancouver Aug 1 - 4/10 to visit our son. This was my second time
at the hotel, my wife's first. We had booked everything (flight, car, hotel)
with our TA. Surprised to find rate at hotel much lower than posted on website.
If your 55 or older ask for the seniors rate. Yes I said 55 for seniors rate.
Check-in smooth as it was in Feb when I was there. The front desk staff were
very friendly and helpful. Different than last time as they were not as busy.
Room was OK, just what you'd expect from a Travelodge close to airport. My
better half liked the fact that we were only 5 mins by car to the Sky Train.
Next time we won't spent the extra on a vehicle. We could get everywhere we
needed to go via the train and for cheap. Room was clean with all the pertinent
amenities. We lucked out as we ended up with a small microwave in our room,
however we weren't in room enough to use it. Cleaning staff absolutely
fantastic. Went over and above. Very friendly. Restaurant much the same as in
Feb. Food OK, service lacking. Waited 1 morning 15 mins for the waitress to come
to our table. Busy you might ask. Nope maybe 5 people in entire restaurant. This
was at 9 am. Didn't eat lunch or dinner there. Check-out again painless. Liked
the fact that there's a shuttle to the airport but as I said we had a car so
didn't use it, but nice touch. Would We stay there again, most definitely. Good
Value for money.

This was an excellent hotel for the price we paid. It is situated just 6 blocks
from the Sky train into Vancouver ( the ticket from Van includes the bus which
stops outside).
A free shuttle service goes into the airport and we were granted a long stay as
our plane did not leave until 5 pm. Staff were very friendly and professional
and we were very pleased with the large room we were given.
The food in the restaurant was good with plenty of choice and the bar was
friendly and large. We stayed 2 nights and will make this hotel our regular stop
when returning to the UK from Vancouver.
