Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn Vancouver Airport

I have been in and out of Vancouver airport a few times this
summer and stayed in various properties nearby. The Comfort Inn
is by far the best for the price. It's the ONLY
reasonably-priced hotel so far where the room didn't reek of
stale cigarette smoke or worse and where the pillows weren't
flatter than a pancake. It is deliciously quiet. The decor is
lovely, the pillows plump and fluffy, the staff pleasant. I will
definitely be back.

Very, very old furnishings (random red leather dining table type
chair in the corner??) and chipped/broken sink cabinet in the
bathroom, dirty or maybe just stained carpets. Can't believe we
had to pay $100 to stay here, and that's AFTER a discount due to
my job.
Fridge was so loud we had to unplug it to be able to sleep.
Cleaning crew decided to vacuum the hallway outside our second
floor room at 7:30am. Um, not very nice after a very late flight
into Van.
Conveniently located near the airport, and offers a free shuttle
service, but little else. I would not stay again and would look
elsewhere. They are many other hotels near the airport for the
same price that are much newer and cleaner.

the room was large but not very nice. it fit 6 of us ok but was
pretty ugly. the restaurant was closed ...they charge for
parking $8.00 for the nite...the front desk staff sucks. the
daytime staff is not to bad but the 3-11pm staff are rude and
not very helpful. we paid a higher rate for the room cause there
was 6 of us and we stayed 2 nites but they were the only hotel
out of 7 we stayed at that also charged for 2 extra people even
with the higher charge for the bigger room...to bad this hotel
made such a bad impression ...4 of our party were from England!
word gets around!

Based upon the reviews I was a very hesitant about staying here.
I had an excellent stay. The exterior of the hotel appears old,
but my room was excellent. It was large and clean and everything
worked. It was not at all rundown. The single downer is the lack
of complimentary continental breakfast.
I was in Vancouver to take a cruise to Alaska. The cost for
parking a car down at the cruise terminal was about $145. They
had a deal to stay a night and park the car for an plane trip. I
utilized their parking service and rode the SkyTrain to the
cruise terminal. The cost was about the same here except that I
stayed my night at the hotel, which I needed.
