Guest Reviews of the Delta Vancouver Airport

We arrived at 2am for an overnight stay. The front desk mistakenly gave
us a room key for an occupied room! Luckily there was a 'Do Not Disturb'
sign on the door, so we did not try to open the door. The hotel was
mortified—they immediately met us on the same floor with a key to an
empty room. When I awoke there was a handwritten note from the front
desk giving us all a free breakfast and apologizing. The breakfast was
extremely delicious and plentiful, with loads of fresh fruit, pastries.
eggs and bacon etc. It would have cost us $80. They more than made up
for a simple mistake and made us feel welcome.

We booked this hotel as it is close to YVR and we were able to leave our
car while we were away. Room was neat and clean. Had a nice dinner and
breakfast. Free wireless internet in lobby area, Free shuttle to and
from airport. A great place to stay when flying out of Vancouver.

The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful. However at 6 am we woke up
to banging dishes sounds, people slamming doors, this continued to about
9 am, apparently they could not figure out what was happening. Or did
not try... For this much money per night I was expecting a quiet night

My second stay in three years. The first time we learned the hotel was
being renovated when checked in. The heating in the room did not work.
Again we needed parking and had a very early wakeup so we took a chance.
The renovations are completed. There is no restaurant or lounge in the
hotel. The television does not work.
Location (near the airport), free parking (for up to three weeks) and a
'free' shuttle to the airport will keep the hotel operating. Expect high
prices poor amenities and indifferent service.

Lots of Asian travelers were in halls being very noisy late at night.
The hotel seems to cater to those large groups who get flights delays
etc . Bus ran outside - nice and then lots of noise as this bus filled
the hotel. I then found a bug in my bed and told staff who moved me to
another room, but i never slept. I ended up checking out next day and
stayed at Fairmont Airport, nice hotel quiet , clean and spa like. The
Delta is older and needs reno and seems like budget hotel catering to
volume travelers.
