Guest Reviews of the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport

I just came back from a overnight stay at the Radisson after a ski trip
in Whistler. I am terribly disappointed and disgusted when I discovered
that the sheets were not changed after the last guest at my suite. No
pillows were found, and the blankets they provided had holes in them. I
wet a face cloth and wiped around the hair dryer and tea condiments
area, they were stained with----I don't know what. Though I love the
location of the hotel----very convenient, close to the Canada Line, and
food..... and the staff were very very nice and accommodating. But,
sheets unchanged, and holes, not one, but a few, and the extra one I
requested had a BIG rip in it. Will I consider this as 3 star
hotel?????? I don't think so.

Good value for your dollar. We got there about 11am and we were worry
that the room might not be ready. Surprisingly, the hotel was willing to
let us check in at that time they had a room ready us in 5 minutes. The
room is a corner unit is a very bright and quiet. Friendly and courteous
service. Free in room wifi and parking were the bonus items. Looking
forward to next visit.

I guess. Overall the hotel is excellent along with free parking and
WIFI. This location is right next to Aberdeen center which is perfect
for eating and shopping in the Richmond area and saves valuable time in
trying to find a parking spot on the weekend as Richmond tends to be
packed with people all over Vancouver.

The quality of a hotel lies in the way they handle difficult or unusual
situations. The staff of this hotel utterly lacks urgency in caring for
guests or solving their problems. Our car was broken into during the
night. They phoned our room, and when we came down and asked if the
police had been called, they said no, they said it was the guest's
responsibility and the hotel wasn't liable. First, we had said nothing
about holding the hotel liable. Second, what does any lack of liability
on the part of the hotel have to do with calling the police? Third, a
hotel night clerk isn't an authority on the finer points of premises
liability. Naturally, he shouldn't have made any statement accepting
liability, but his impulse to disclaim liability rather than simply to
remain silent and attend to the needs of his guests, shows his attitude,
and that of the hotel.
The staff on duty at the desk had no suggestions about where to get a
repair, and no other useful information. We did find out from another
source the name of a repair shop, and the owner of the shop got our car
fixed the same day we brought it in, even to the extent of taking a long
drive across town after the correct glass after the wrong glass had been
delivered, and keeping the shop open after normal closing to get the job
done. Nobody at the front desk of this hotel displayed anything remotely
like this level of customer service or humanitarian concern.
We found out that other break-ins had recently occurred at this hotel,
so that the hotel had notice of the danger. No one said anything about
this to us when we checked in. They could have assisted us greatly by
speaking up forthrightly about the danger and suggesting the safest
possible places to park; they made no effort to do this.
After phoning the police and insurance, I moved my car to a parking
structure, leaving a substantial pile of broken glass in the space I had
left. I warned the attendant on duty at the desk that the parking space
was hazardous; however, he displayed no urgency in cleaning up or
cordoning off the space. He said that it was being attended to, but of
course, someone could have parked there at any time and blown a tire.
We, fortunately, will not face any such danger at this hotel, as we will
never stay there again. You shouldn't either.

repeat customer
We always enjoy the location of the hotel and the overall cleanliness of
the hotel. That’s the only hotel we stayed when visiting Vancouver. This
is the seventh time we visited.

Nice bed
The location is perfect. While most hotels in downtown charge you a
parking fee, this location provides the free parking and convenience -
it’s in Richmond but right by Sky train. You can easily hop on the train
and go downtown. Across the street, there is a big mall. By the hotel,
there is a big supermarket. The area is safe so don’t worry about coming
back late. Will go back again.
