I stayed at the Comfort Inn Vancouver Airport for one night and
made it clear at check in that I would pay in cash the morning
of departure. The staff at reception demanded my credit card
details, no problem, I gave it to them as long as they made a
note not to book the amount off the card. I paid cash in the
morning and left. No problem?? A few days later I discovered it
was booked off my credit card account. When I phoned the hotel
initially the account's person agreed to reverse the payment.
Great, all sorted! .......Until a few days later the manager
phoned to suggest that I was a liar and a cheat and that they
did not receive cash, that the security footage on their camera
had been lost and it was my problem as they did not issue a
receipt!! And believe it or not, how honest his staff was. Who
pocketed the money?? No idea. The worst is that I was treated
like a criminal. Shame on you tainting your fellow Canadians in
this way!!!

Luckily it was summer so we could leave the window open all
night. It had a musty smell I would have just thought it was a
fairly poor example of an economy hotel (that cost $95, thank
you!). Oh, and it was on a busy street, sharing its parking lot
with a liquor store, which meant no parking spaces for guests of
the hotel.

Clean, comfortable and affordable - and met our criteria as an
overnight stop before flying out of Vancouver airport. We were
very disappointed that the pool closed before we got there
mid/late evening - we would have loved a swim before bed.

Good room, free internet, very far form Vancouver city, really
in Richmond city, expensive in a taxi to get to vancouver. Needs
to be renovated. Our room looked at a roof edge
The price was the best feature, and even that was somewhat high.
The doors had good locks and we did not have to sleep with "one
eye open" at night.

The rooms were small but clean and the front desk staff was very
helpful. Good deal for the price with free airport shuttle from
the Vancouver airport. Located 2 blocks from a riverside
restaurant with an Italian restaurant across the street. If you
want to drive, there's an Enterprise car rental office literally
next door.

Close to the airport clean rooms but somewhat dated. Helpful
service, wakeup call was on time. No dinner facilities but deli,
BK and starbucks about 200m away. Great complimentary breakfast
- value for money. To those wanting more - pay more its that
simple.

Close to the airport and also near Aberdeen Centre and River
Rock Casino. This is a typical airport hotel nothing fancy but
close to enough things to keep you amused for one night. They
have a pool but we did not use it had breakfast in the
Restaurant which was good for breaky. The shuttle was convenient
at this hotel and is only a five minute drive to the airport.

Used this hotel for a brief stopover flying out of Vancouver,
perfectly acceptable for a cheap hotel near the airport with a
good airport shuttle service. Breakfast was bad, room was clean
and spacious, staff polite.

This is a poor attempt by the Comfort Inn chain to renovate an
old hotel and attach their name to it. This is the worst comfort
Inn hotel I have every stayed in. The rooms have a stale odor
and the carpets are dark and appear dirty. I was afraid to put
my luggage on the floor. Good thing there is a liquor store
attached. The staff was friendly but I would not recommend
staying at this hotel.

I was expecting a lot worse based on the reviews. From the
exterior I thought all the reviews would be true, but inside
it's been renovated. Yes, there was a damp smell as you walked
into the room but it last just a couple seconds as you walk in.
There was no view, except of a wall from our room. The rooms had
been recently renovated and I found the rooms clean. Service was
alright, and everyone was friendly. I stayed during the
Olympics, so the room cost was a lot higher than I expected to
pay. One complaint was that the linen on the pull-out bed was
never changed and had a damp smell... The location is great -
near the airport (with free shuttle when you want it) and within
a 5-10 minute walk to a SkyTrain station (under 20 minutes
travel time to downtown Vancouver). For that reason, and the
fact that usually this hotel is more affordable, I'd recommend
it if you're looking for somewhere affordable.

I found this hotel online. A number of the hotels in the area
offer a free week of parking if you stay before/after you
travel. There was no mention of this on their website so I
phoned the hotel. The lady I spoke with told me that I would get
a free week of parking and that anything after that would be
charged at $5/day. We needed to leave our car for 12 days. She
said that the website indicated the charge would be $8/day but
that they really only charged $5. I told her I would book it
online and she thanked me. She was very courteous.
We arrived late in the evening and our international flight left
at 06:30.
When I went to check in the "gentleman" at the desk told me that
there was no parking available and that even if there were I
would have to pay $8/day for it and no complimentary week would
be given. It took me 5 tries to tell him (because he
continuously and very rudely kept interrupting me) that I had
spoken with one of their staff and had been assured of the week
of complementary parking. He then told me that they had no
female staff at their hotel (?). I told him I wanted to cancel
my reservation given these revelations and he laughed at me and
told me that my credit card had already been charged and there
would be no refund. He referred me to a Park & Fly lot nearby
and by the time I got back to my room with the $140 parking fees
on my credit card it was 11 PM.
We found the room to be less than clean but it was quiet.
All in all - a horrible experience.
