It is a shame that this hotel failed us on the sole reason we booked it - a
complimentary shuttle to Vancouver Airport, because we had no complaints about
the hotel in general - the rooms were clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable,
and the bathroom etc was fine. However, in my experience, the only reason one
stays at an Airport Hotel is because one needs early, or late access to the
Airport. Quality Hotel don’t tell prospective customers on their website that
the shuttle service does not start till 6.30am, which is way too late for early
flights with 2-3 hour checkin requirements. We had to take a taxi which cost $16
CAD - tip extra, so add this to the tariff when considering your hotel. Also be
aware that the included breakfast service does not start until 7am. The hotel
could have sorted out the problem easily by offering us a taxi voucher, but
neither the evening, nor morning desk clerks had authority to do so and were not
prepared to wake their Duty Manager to authorize.

The amount of money I spent on the hotel, I did not expect anything. I just
needed to sleep one night. Much to my surprise, the hotel room and the bathroom
were extremely clean and the king sized bed was surprisingly comfort. Free
shuttle service from the airport was OK, but free continental breakfast was real
good....

First time in Vancouver and although it was only a short stay of one night I was
really impressed with this hotel, great location in Richmond, we don't know the
area well but it seemed a decent suburb of Vancouver, really smart and modern
with plenty of places to eat and drink, with an Irish bar just across the road
(although we never went in).
Rooms were clean and despite being in a busy area there was no sound to be heard
from outside, wouldn't hesitate to stop here again!
One downside to this hotel as already mentioned is the Security Deposit!!!!!
I booked with Expedia with a credit card, once I checked in I also was asked for
$150 Security Deposit, foolishly I used my credit card to make the deposit (If
its possible I would recommend paying this in cash!) and was told it would be
refunded when we checked out.
When we checked out the manager was at the desk and told us that the refund
would be done that night (on a Saturday)
I don't know if my credit card company, the hotel's merchant bank were the card
was swiped or a combination of both but I never got my refund till the Thursday
5 days after we checked out!!!!!
If allowed pay the deposit with cash not a credit card, as it would be a lot
easier and quicker to get your money back once you leave.

The hotel was close to public transit and a quick ride to the downtown Vancouver
area. Friendly and helpful staff. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but there
are a few within walking distance You wouldn't want to make this your hotel for
a trip to Vancouver, but for a place to stay near the airport it was great!
We were picked up promptly at the airport and delivered to the front door. The
rate was extremely reasonable, and the bed just ok.

When we arrived late in the morning, the front desk at the hotel said they
cannot check us in before 3:00pm even though they have the room available. This
is hotel policy. After we checked in to our room within half an hour, someone
with the hotel key opened our room door without any "warning". We asked for the
shuttle to the airport later in the day, the hotel asked us why we need to go to
the airport and they only offer the service with 24 hour notice. What a service.

Great location, 10 minute walk to Skytrain, bus stop in front of hotel if you
don’t want to walk to the Skytrain, 5 minutes from Richmond Center Mall. Lots of
restaurants and amenities nearby. Room is of adequate size but no table if you
need to eat in the room or do work. Continental breakfast is pretty basic.
Biggest drawback was the noise from the street in front of hotel. You can hear
every loud truck or car passing by along with late night partiers leaving the
pub across the street.

From the confirmation call I made a couple of days prior to my visit until
getting dropped off at the airport, the staff of the Quality Hotel Airport South
were terrific. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was well
equipped and comfortable.

Great hotel for a short stay. Clean and good value. The room was in great shape.
Breakfast was simple but good value for the price. Staff was friendly. They
blocked $150 on my credit card for damages rather than asking for an open card
which I also liked.

The rooms were very clean, and beds and linens were great. It looked like the
facility was recently renovated as the carpets and fixtures and furnishings were
really tasteful and modern. The complimentary buffet was also great! Nice place
to stay. We’ll definitely return.

When I checked into this hotel, the front person said they required a security
deposit, which was news to me. This was not advertised at all. In all of my
traveling experiences, I've never been asked for a security deposit.. so I asked
why this was necessary and the front person told me because I did not have a
credit card on file .
The room was small but adequately clean. I stay in Richmond quite often on my
trips to Vancouver and I tried Quality Hotel that time, but never again. There
are so many nicer, friendlier hotels in the area that you don't need to stay at
a hotel where they obviously have so many customers that they can afford to be
rude whenever someone has questions about their policy.
The fact that they are taking a security deposit makes me wonder what kind of
people they are expecting in their hotel...

The only thing good was it had under ground place to park with a gate. Other
than that it was just a place the lay down. When I would go to sleep I would put
the "do not disturb sign" out, this only made the cleaners call me from the next
room to see if they could clean the room?
