My new favorite hotel in Richmond when on a lay over between flights. The hotel
is still new, with modern decor and very clean. We absolutely loved the shuttle
on demand service. The gym had lots to offer, with free weights, balls, yoga
mats, many treadmills, stationary bikes, etc. The pool was a nice temperature
and the hot tub clean. We have absolutely no complaints and will most definitely
return to this hotel. Guest Reviews Westin Wall Centre Hotel Vancouver Airport

we have always stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver airport and now that we have
tried the Westin wall centre through Priceline, we will never return to the
Fairmont but only the
Westin.
first, the price is so affordable via Priceline compared to that of the
Fairmont's.
second, the rooms at the Westin are 100x more upscale and modern and new ...very
luxurious.
third, the beds are extremely comfortable...i didn't want to get out of bed. we
have stayed at many 5 star properties with great beds, but those at the Westin
airport are absolutely number one.
lastly, the shuttle is so convenient and it starts at 3:45am and runs ever half
hour. we caught one departing at 4:15am and we were at the airport by 4:25am .
There is nothing i can find to fault the Westin wall centre...i highly suggest
everyone stay here rather than the Fairmont.

We stayed here on the night of our wedding. Clean, new rooms. Check-in/
check-out fast and friendly. We got a great price and the rooms were spacious
including the bathrooms. As the hotel is fairly new, everything is clean and the
decor is very nice as well. Free complimentary starbucks coffee, self-brew. Beds
and sheets comfortable and clean. Great location for airport hotels, probably
one of the best ones in the area. Free parking on the street if you can get it.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an airport hotel.

This hotel is quite new, just opened for the Olympics a year ago. The rooms are
all modern and nicely decorated and comfy. Only one small complaint and that is
with the vessel sink in the bathroom there is no room on the vanity for your
articles. There is a huge walk-in shower as well as a deep soaker tub. The staff
are great, friendly and very helpful.
The on-site restaurant, The Apron, is small and cozy and the food is excellent -
what a great chef. Wait staff are friendly and well trained.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Westin Rooms and beds and room amenities are truly 4* - size was great. I
did find the fact it a little awkward that you had to be creative to turn on the
hot water in the shower, however, all amenities required were there and even
provided in case you forget. Free Starbucks coffee in the room for brewing and 2
complimentary bottles of water every date – the fact is we did not even bother
with the bottles – folks, if you have a problem with Vancouver tap water – which
is head and shoulders better than most cities I have been to in the world – you
have some bigger issues. Did not need internet while there so can not comment on
the same and generally, I do get annoyed with hotels that monetize high speed
access, but it does appear that the higher end hotels charge for Wi-Fi and the
lower ends do not. I hope this will change.
Room service prices were very good for a 4* property and the rates was also very
good. I booked on PL and got a sub $100 rate. That said, I had monitored this
property in the past and found that you could easily get a rate between 125-150.
I had hoped to dine at the restaurant but visiting relatives made this more
difficult.
As to the shuttle, staff provided the times when the shuttle was expected and
sure enough, it was there within a minute or two. BTW, just get off the shuttle
at the international area if the bus is fuller and walk. It is about 100m
difference between the two stops and why there is two stops probably has more to
do with people who think the YVR airport is big enough for two…it is not. It is
impossible to get lost in the YVR airport.
The Fairmont is by far the best for sound proofing but the Westin hotel is not
too bad - esp given the amount of glass - however, it is much better than all
older properties that are just down right poor in terms of the same. I did not
hear the late night Cathay flight during my entire trip – this could not be said
for the Sandman Signature – it woke me up on several occasions.
The pool is a little odd to get to but so are many hotels. It was a nice pool
and also very nice gym facility.
Is it perfect, no….but it most certainly is better than Delta Airport, Sandman
Signature, Hilton and Marriott Airport hotels…HANDS down. |
