Review of the Sockeye City Diner |
came here on a summer day to try their fish and chips and it was fantastic! the
fish had just the right amount of batter, without going overboard where theres
more batter than fish, thats gross... some places ive eaten at do this and it
shows how frugal they are.. i noticed their F&C are actually cheaper when you do
take-out as opposed to dining in so if you want to save a few bucks, make your
order outside and wait.
our waitress did her job, there were a couple times though when we made direct
eye contact with her to show that we needed something else yet she continued to
walk away.. other than that, she was nice.
relative to other F&C places, their prices are good.. you are usually paying at
least $13 for a single cod and a little more for halibut which reflect the
prices here so nothing unusual.
in the summer, this place is great... you have the option of eating out on the
patio and enjoying the weather along with the view or eating inside the
restaurant. both are pleasant.
pajos used to be my favourite in the steveston area... now its sockeyes! totally
recommend |
