Booked hotel through Priceline. The hotel has 2 sections - new section
is very nice, but the older section is no better than a 2-star hotel. If
you are booking online, you are most probably being relegated to the
2-star section. This is lying as far as I am concerned.
Also, the rooms are tiny.
To add to it, be ready to fork out $17 for parking and about 13$ for
internet - so about 30$ extra per day.
I would rather stay in the Travelodge next time - that way I know what I
am getting into.
On the plus side, the room was clean and the towels, linens, etc. were
all clean - which is a very basic thing - but they did get it right.
There was a nice flat screen TV in the room but I don't care for it. The
front desk folks were polite and helpful.

There was nothing "executive" about my room, other than the labels on
the stationary. The problem with booking using Hotwire unpublished rates
is that the hotels usually stick you in the lower end of their
inventory.
I got stuck with a room that had a tiny bathroom that was so old, with a
caulking job so poorly done, that it could have been a bathroom in any 2
star motel. I will conceded that the room was quiet and that it was
clean. However, the hallway, was dingy and again, it could have been a
scene from a 2 star motel. The staff also treat you with less dignity
when they notice your Hotwire "status."
And of course, the hotel will pinch you to the bone for parking and
Internet access. I think it is a poor deal when a hotel is advertised as
3.5 star, and then you get put in a 2 star section of the hotel after
you purchase a non-refundable rate.

we stayed here because we finished up a fishing trip on the north end of
Vancouver Island at 1pm on Friday and needed a place to stay before
flying back to L.A. at 9am the next morning. it is a really bizarre
place. we got to the front and it said "no parking" and there were no
valets present to take our bags. the "guest registration" spot was a
fair distaince from the doors to the hotel. after my dad went inside to
check in and I hauled our bags onto a luggage cart myself and our bags
were already hauled inside, suddenly some valets showed up and asked if
I needed help. then, you have to drive the car around the back of the
hotel to park, and park on level 3 or 6. then, after they told me that,
i get back to the room and am told by the bellboy showing us the room
that i have to put some ticket on the dash. how about you tow my car?
then we get to the room. "deluxe 2 bedroom condo" they call it. yeah,
it's very weirdly set up. crunched living room, 2 awkwardly sized
bedrooms. and even though we (prepaid) for "free high speed internet" -
it is ETHERNET. no wifi. what kind of hotel in 2011 does not have wifi ?
also my dad has been sneezing since he got inside the room. that and the
service is very strange. i know it's Canada Day and all, but can't you
tell we're American? why are you telling us to go up to our room and
have a party? very very very very strange place. don't stay here. spend
a little extra money and go to a Marriott or somewhere else that you can
depend on. i'm glad we're leaving early in the morning to go home. i
just wish our lovely vacation in British Columbia hadn't been blighted
by this ineptly run and designed hotel.

Hosted a business event at the Executive Airport Plaza Hotel and we were
more than happy with the hotel as a whole. Every aspect of our weekend
was great from the catering to the guest rooms. The entire staff was
very helpful in the planning leading up to the event and staff went
above and beyond tailoring the event to our needs even though some
requests were very last minute. I would definitely recommend the
Executive Airport Plaza Hotel to anyone for business or pleasure and we
plan to attend again in the future.

I chose the Executive Airport Plaza Hotel for a gala of ~100 guests. The
setup, food, and layout exceeded my expectations. They catered to my
needs when things suddenly changed. The guests really enjoyed themselves
and really appreciated the attention to small details there like the
decorations. Great place for students to plan and execute small events.

I guess this hotel has two sections. Upon checking in I was advised that
I was upgraded to a jacuzzi room. I first that this was something
special. Upon entering the room, I came to realize not so. The room was
dated and the jacuzzi certainly had seen its better days. I had to wait
for an hour and fifteen minutes for the shuttle at the airport to take
me to the hotel and the ride to the hotel was a little interesting. The
driving was counting his tips as he was driving and writing notes on a
clipboard as well. Illegal to talk on a cell phone but ok to write while
driving.
This hotel served its purpose for a short stay, but I would not want to
stay here for an extended stay, at least not in the old part of the
hotel. |
