I had expected to he closer to the airport but it worked out ok.
Location was in the middle of Asia town so there were over 100 very
lccal food choices if not happy with the McDonalds next door. The room
was smaller than expected. Parking was $10 which seemed high given I
could simply park next door at the mall for free.
They gave me free breakfast which seemed nice but the food was subpar.
The toaster would not work while they were vacuuming. Odd. the tv quit
at that time as well. I ended up going next door to Macs for there
breakfast.
No pop.
Not real impressed.

hotel rooms are quite despite its close distance to YVR. Windows can be
opened for fresh air during the morning. Breakfast in the lobby
restaurant is charming. Unfortunately, the hotel removed the swimming
pools a few years ago (replaced with meeting room). TV has plenty
channels. Local calls are not free (it used to be). Large size bathroom
and comfortable beds. Good place for family trip as it locates near many
shopping and dining options.

I used some points to stay at this hotel for a night prior to some all
week business meetings (was staying at another hotel in downtown
Vancouver during the week). The hotel is located fairly close to the
airport (about 10 minutes drive). The location is close to Lansdowne
Mall and many Asian food restaurants. I had to wait a little longer than
I would have expected for the airport shuttle. They say it comes at a
quarter to and a quarter after the hour, but best to call upon arrival
regardless. Check in was very quick. The rooms are very standard - your
typical hotel room. Nothing more, nothing less. Free high speed internet
which worked great. Room was spotlessly clean and certainly was not
cramped. The bed was relatively comfortable. TV worked well and had all
the channels you would need. The restaurant appeared to have a large
Asian clientelle, as all of the staff and most of the guests were Asian.
The SkyTrain (public subway) is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel
near the Lansdowne Mall. River Rock Casino is only one SkyTrain stop
away (Bridgeport Station). The staff were pleasant and the hotel is
clean. It's fine for just one night, but I don't think I would want to
spend an extended stay here.

Stayed here for 3 nights in late April/May. Spent most of our time in
the city or elsewhere.
Free Shuttle from airport to Hotel was on time and quick.
Location was close to the Skytrain ( about a 5 minute walk) and across
from a mall that one could buy anything from Chinese herbal remedies,
tv's to fresh fruit and aspirin
Plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity ( mostly Chinese though
).
Room was comfortable ( 6th Floor corner room ) and clean
Staff were all very professional, friendly & provided excellent service.
Food ( breakfast only ) was good but a little pricey for the location
All in all it was a pleasant stay and I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.

We landed and had to wait over an hour for the shuttle to come pick us
up from the airport. Geeez this was a 10 minute drive, every time we
called the hotel we were told the shuttle is on its way. Other than that
the hotel was fine, I think next time we might pay the extra $50 and
stay at the airport hotel. At least then we would have no issues with
getting to the hotel. |
