Good impression from entering the hotel and staff at desk, but then on entering
room, not so good. Had a scruffy look to it, with curtains and bedspreads both
well past their best, and bathroom needed re-wallpapering.
But just for a night we thought, needing a good sleep after a full day of
travelling and 16 hours in transit ahead.
But rest wasn't to be! NOT a good idea to put a large group of children on the
same floor as travel weary couples!!!!
We were kept awake to well after midnight with the children running up and down,
playing and talking and banging doors constantly - in spite of us going out to
ask them to stop and two phone calls to the front desk.
But otherwise, the front desk staff were very good and helpful and printed out
directions for us for our day out before our long trip, looked after our
luggage, etc.
We also liked the restaurant - The Pantry. Nice place to sit, good menu for
dinner and breakfast and excellent service - especially from the blond girl at
dinner.
Very handy to have shuttle to and from airport.
Note to management - we understand similar parties of children often stay -
please keep them to a floor on their own so they don't disturb others!!!!

The hotel was an excellent value and in a great location. The front desk staff
was very helpful. We found that the skytrain is a great way to get downtown with
out having the expense of parking

Maybe I'm a bit of a princess or maybe not. The room was very musty...we opened
a window and let it air out for the day, but it could only open 6 inches. There
wasn't any sheets on the mattress box.....and there were many stains on the
sides of the mattress box. The blanket had what looked like a bloodstain. And
the towels weren't the cleanest. It took me a long time to fall asleep with all
these thoughts swirling in my head. I'd rather pay an extra $30 to upgrade to a
slightly better hotel...where I can, in the very least, count on cleanliness.

We stayed on the 12th and 19th as we were flying out of country. Little to say
as we just hit the bed for a quick departure both ways. Room was quiet, they
were quick at booking us in (2 staff for 12 of us), and loved that quick trip to
the airport. Great cost for the quality. |
