Reasonably priced, this motel with parking in front of rooms was perfect for us.
We were able to walk to all the major city sights-Royal Museum, harbor area,
Legislature, Chinatown. We even walked to Craigdarroch Castle (a bit far). The
motel was clean and mostly updated and had everything we required but a
hairdryer. Staff was very helpful; we stayed 3 nights.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Ridge. We found the Inn to be clean, and the
desk staff was pleasant. We asked for a suite and got two good size rooms. We
enjoyed being able to cook in our room as all the pots, pans, cutlery, and
dishes were provided. We asked for a non-smoking room, and got one. The room was
fairly quiet. The location of the inn was great. We were right across the street
from the Mayfair Mall and about 10 minute from the Inner Harbor. We drove, but
I'm sure there is bus service provided since it was an easy drive down Douglas
to the Inner Harbor. The free parking was a bonus.Reviews of the Blue Ridge Inn Victoria

One the day of our first night, we had to cancel one night of our stay due to
heavy snow storm. The management said no problem and no charge. Called them the
next day to see how the roads were before we started out. The hotel is clean and
roomy. This is the 3rd time we've stayed there. We ate breakfast at the little
cafe at the hotel - good service and good food. Lots of restaurants within
walking distance.

First of all, they advertise a rate of $55 that doesn't exist. Even as a sole
traveler, in the middle of the week, later in the day, they managed to charge me
$65. I asked for a non-smoking room. Sure enough, my room reeked of smoke. Many
hotels on Vancouver Islands changed the designation of a room overnight to
non-smoking, even after it was smoked in for 25 years. Blue Ridge Inn is one of
those. And don't dare to complain! Their only answer will be to tell you that
you are not welcome again.

I will be staying here again and the only thing I would like to see is a grassy
area for the dogs to do their business and the little bags provided to clean up
after them

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property. We enjoy
welcoming pets almost as much as people. It appears that we missed a chance to
communicate properly during your stay. We actually have several locations around
the Inn and at the front desk where we hand out “after the fact” baggies. We
also have two nice grassy areas for the dogs to “visit”, one on the side of our
Inn and one in the rear. Next time we’ll make sure to do a better job of
pointing these out for you. Looking forward to seeing you at again at the Blue
Ridge Inn.
Sincerely,
Chris Knight

This was my third stay here in three years. It's very good value for money.
Rooms are basic but always very clean, comfortable and the service from front
desk is always friendly and helpful. Walls are thin so if neighbors are noisy,
it can be distracting, but front desk can help with this. I will definitely be
going back again next year. I love this place.

My parents and I recently stayed at the Blue Ridge in Victoria, it was right
across the street from the may fair mall, a short walk to the bus stop and close
to several restaurants. The staff were very accommodating, we stayed in one of
the suites with a kitchen, which was clean and well stocked. The one t.v. wasn't
hooked up when we moved into the room but was immediately taken care of. The
only drawback was the three flights of stairs to our level, which was difficult
with luggage, however I feel if we hadn't had the help of a family member they
would have given us a hand.

We stayed during +30C (over 86F) weather so we missed the air conditioning. My
experience in Victoria has been that AC is usually unnecessary; Not this time.
The pool is a nice shady cool down but, being heated, I could stay for hours and
splash about. Cleanliness was very good and service was no problem. The staff
was friendly and efficient. Parking was plentiful and the location is just
outside downtown. Altogether a very pleasant stay and we found a very reasonable
rate on www.allure-hotels.com

This motel is not in the city centre but it's on the main road coming in from
the north and it's a short drive into the city. There is a huge shopping centre
across the road and a number of restaurant and fast food outlets nearby. The
staff were very helpful. Our adaptor which allowed us to use our Australian
battery chargers and laptop had shorted out, but we were given clear directions
to 2 nearby electrical stores and were able to replace it easily. The room was
quiet and comfortable and free off street parking is always a bonus in a city.
