How can you go wrong with a romantic night with your husband and then follow
it with a day at the spa with your best girl friend? You can't here ...
AMAZING day/night & day!!! They were fabulous, talk about getting your
monies worth ... they got us checked in early, we had a relaxing dip in the
pool and hot tub(this was a NO KIDS trip :)), followed by a tasty treat in
the Pub. The next morning, hubby went home to tend to the kids and my friend
joined me for a day at the spa. We only had a couple of pedi's but since i
had stayed the night before, we were able to use the pool and hot tub again
so we sat out and lounged by the pool and enjoyed a few drinks before
getting our toes beautified!! Thank you Brentwood Bay Resort - we'll be
back!!!

We had a lovely stay at Brentwood Bay Resort over a long weekend in May. The
resort is very quiet, as it sits on a secluded inlet on the water, about
20-30 minutes outside of Victoria. For the relaxing, romantic weekend we
were looking for, it was the perfect fit. We enjoyed the resort so much that
we didn't even bother going into Victoria.
The amenities are fantastic, and it's pretty amazing that they packed so
much into a smaller resort--a spa, a pool, two restaurants, a marina,
spacious rooms. We ate at both restaurants several times and found them to
be very good. The pub was especially great--try the sweet potato fries, they
are amazing! The spa was lovely and the services were top notch. With your
manicure and/or pedicure, you even get to take home a new bottle of polish,
which is a fun little bonus. We also took advantage of the excursions
offered through the resort, including the boat trip to nearby Butchart
Gardens (not to be missed!) and the eco-tour. Both of our guides were very
personable and knowledgeable about the area's history, wildlife and natural
setting. We saw numerous animals, including bald eagles, seals, fish,
shrimp, other birds, and starfish. It was very cool and so peaceful out on
the water. On one of trips we were the only couple, so it was truly a
private tour.
The rooms are very spacious, including a gorgeous bathroom. The jetted tub,
gas fireplace, and balcony overlooking the bay were definitely highlights.
We also loved borrowing DVDs from the lobby to watch in our room. It seems
that all of the rooms face the water, so you really can't go wrong with
which room you are assigned.
If you are looking for a quiet, low-key weekend away, Brentwood Bay is a
fantastic choice. It's a short cab ride from Victoria that will cost you
about CD$60 each way.

We stayed at the Brentwood Bay Lodge for 5 nights, it was a wonderful
relaxing getaway. We were in one of the one bedroom suites with a private
hot tub on the balcony. The room was well appointed with a nice spacious
bathroom with a soaking tub and nice tile shower with river rock floor. We
dined at SeaGrille as well as the Pub, the food was good at both, but
pricey, although this is Victoria, BC so what do you expect. We also
utilized the spa which was wonderful and I thought reasonably priced. You
should definitely be aware when youj book that this property is a little
ways outside Victoria and is best for people looking for a secluded getaway
in a quiet area without night life. Victoria is easily accessible by car or
taxi if you want to (takes about 20-30 minutes, taxi fair about $55). I
would also not consider this hotel kid friendly, but they pretty much tell
you that when they say not recommended for children under 16. In summary,
this is a wonderful, quiet place for a retreat with your spouse/significant
other when grandma is watching the kids!
