This was our 3rd stay at this hotel over a period of 7 years. It is an older
property with newer hotels on either side but it still offers good value at
approx. $130.- per night with harbour view room. The rooms are of a reasonable
size, clean & comfortable. No air conditioning but you can open the window
(street noise not overwhelming) or use the fan provided.
Restaurant has wide selection of dishes and servings are generous! Staff in all
departments (Reception, Housekeeping, Dining Room) very pleasant and efficient.
Plenty of free parking for guests. Being located on the Inner Harbour provides
guests with the opportunity of walking to many of the tourist points of interest
- Provincial Legislature, BC Museum & Archives etc. A good base for exploring
Victoria.

the location of the hotel is great, overlooking the harbour and near the museum.
The hotel was busy and only one lift was a bit of a bother. the hotel could do
with a face lift as it was well used, but clean. i would not recommend eating
breakfast at the hotel. it was disorganized, slow and not the best grub. the
problem appears to be that it is near a ferry terminal and lots of people pop in
for breakfast while waiting for the ferry. the wifi connection was very week
Room Tip: a room overlooking the Harbour

This is a perfectly located hotel for a city break. Kitchens are small and not
greatly equipped, but adequate for purpose. My husband thinks it was the best
pool ever as it is lovely and warm!! Reception staff friendly and helpful, and
room not noisy despite close proximity of bar. Location is its selling point...

If you're looking for a fantastic harbour view, service that is more 'bed &
breakfast' or 'country inn' than hotel, plus good dollar value, then this should
be your choice of stay while in Victoria. The restaurant was fantastic. As a
solo traveler and a senior, I was always made to feel comfortable here,. Thanks
again to the staff!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times while in Victoria and enjoy my stays
there more each time. The front end staff is always friendly, pleasant,
courteous and very helpful in every way.
The housekeeping staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are
always clean and fresh. The beds are very comfortable.
The hotel is located near the downtown core for shopping and entertainment
purposes but with the view overlooking the harbour feels "away from the hustle
and bustle".
Whenever I check out of the hotel I look forward to my next stay with them.
It also has a wonderful restaurant - "The Swiftsure" whose executive chef, Mark
Griffith, does a marvelous job.
I also appreciate the welcoming letter in my room from the management when I
arrive. All in all a very positive experience.

The check in was great until the clerk advised that there was a rate change I
had NOT been advised of when I booked. When I asked if there was any discount,
e.g. for CAA, he said yes. BUT when I called to book, the clerk at the 800
number told me that she quoted me the lowest rate. Anyway the clerk could not
actually give the reduced rate because "the computer wouldn't let him adjust the
rate." Sigh.

Average spot with convenient location. Nice place to eat downstairs, overall not
too bad.

It looked promising enough from the website, but in reality it was not quite up
to snuff (we actually referred to it as our "little hellhole"). Very close to
the ferry and parliament buildings, but the room was dingy and overpowered by
the smell of air freshener (when we opened the window to air out the room, we
were greeted with the smell of rotting...something), bathroom moldy, and the
best/worst part: the bandaid stuck on the smoke detector sensor. Avoid!!

This was our 6th winter staying at the Days Inn Victoria on the Harbour and we
are already looking forward to next February!
We cannot say enough about all the front desk and houskeeping staff. They were
all friendly, efficient, helpful and showed they really cared. The rooms are
very clean and comfortable and the location and view of the harbour area
outstanding.
We had breakfast and most dinners in the restaurant. The staff was superb -
friendly and professional. The menu was varied and food excellent.
Thanks to all for making our stay so great!

We travel with our pug and are always welcome at the Day's Inn. The staff are
friendly and helpful. Book ahead online and we received 20% off. The Inn is a
block from the Parliament buildings and a 5min.walk to downtown Victoria. Always
enjoy our stay there.

I can't say enough about our stay here. I'm a travel agent and stay at all sorts
of hotels. For a modestly priced hotel in this location you won't get better.
Rooms were a decent size, clean and comfortable. However, what made our stay was
the staff and their excellent service. Of special mention was the housekeeping
lady on the third floor. Her name is Anne and she is such a sweetheart. ...good
at her job, too!
