No complaints at all! Have stayed there a few times now,
on business and pleasure. Actually, was so impressed
with my business stays that I was inspired to go back
for a weekend get away!
Stayed in the 'older' section each time and it was
amazing, the rooms are very large and bright and have
huge patio doors with a cute little patio, small but
just right for standing out on to enjoy the view of the
seawall and watch the seaplanes. Even the basic rooms
are very plush for the price and I really enjoy the gift
shop in the lobby, NICE stuff.

You can't beat the location at Laurel Point. It is
within walking distance to all major attractions in
downtown Victoria, and right on the seawall for a nice
walk. The rooms are very clean and I was upgraded to a
King suite on the top floor. The beds are comfortable
enough but the bedspread doesn't provide much warmth.
Furnishings are bland and typical hotel-style. Aveda
bathroom products are a nice touch. Staff are nice and
accommodating to requests. Good heating/cooling system
in rooms. Balcony had amazing water views but was quite
grungy, not very welcoming to step out onto. Bird poop
on the outside windows somewhat distracted from the
views. Room service provided good food at reasonable
price, but automatically added a 15% tip to the bill and
then the receipt was handed to me to fill in the total,
as if I was expected to add another tip.

I stay at least once a year at Laurel Point for
business. The rooms are exceptionally nice - quite
large, lots of daylight, with modern furniture, spacious
bathrooms and comfortable beds. Many have a harbour view
and a small balcony. Fairly convenient to the heliport
and a 15 minute walk to downtown Victoria along the
harbour path. Hotel has an excellent restaurant, and
there are plenty of other places nearby. Underground
parking. My only complaint is the size of the fitness
centre - it is very small and cramped. If you like to go
running that isn't a problem, because there are great
routes from the hotel. But if you like to start or end
your working day with weights and cardio machines, you
will be disappointed.

It was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and
helpful
We will definitely stay there again. There we a lot of
nice places to eat within walking distance and the hotel
staff were so great about recommendations. It's a
beautiful area right on the harbour with lots to see and
do. The room was beautiful with a great view .
Area recommendations
China Town with its fan tan alley which is the narrowest
street in North America. All of downtown Victoria is
beautiful and easy to get around. Some really neat
stores with very helpful staff

Not the total Zen experience implied...but fine
From how it describes itself, you would think the Inn
was truly spa-like and Zen feeling. It is really not.
Perfectly adequate, clean, quiet and restful. I gather
there is a newer wing that might be more plush and
luxurious. But the cards that said, "if you ever want to
leave your room..." ? I think it over-promotes a bit.
The views are great and the people are nice. Good
restaurant and none of the slight ticky-tackiness you
can find in the Inner Harbor. But...hearing this was one
of the top 25 hotels in Canada was a surprise to me. I
would stay here again, with the right expectations.

Gorgeous room, great view
The room was gorgeous. We had a great view of the bay.
The restaurant, Aura, was terrific. And the weather even
got sunny while we were there. Couldn't be better.

This hotel was gorgeous and perfectly located. We
literally stood on the balcony outside our room and
waved to our friends who were on the ferry departing out
of the harbor! A very upscale hotel for a very
reasonable price. I would highly recommend it!

Staff were friendly and accommodating, rooms were
updated, clean and beautifully decorated. Beautiful view
of the harbour and downtown Victoria. Beds are amazing!
Both BF and I fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the
pillow. Located 10 minute walk from the Empress and
downtown. We stayed in the studio rooms located in the
Erikkson wing, though we heard the guest rooms have been
updated in the last 2 years. Hotel definitely
recommended for all.
