I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. This was my third stay and again I was very
happy with it. The rooms are comfortable but not my taste in decorating but I
like it here enough to over look that. The place has to be among the very
cleanest you will find, everything sparkles it is so clean. Every staff member I
have ever encountered here has always been pleasant. Pool and Exercise areas are
excellent places to relax. Complimentary Wifi is available. The beds are
comfortable, I always hate to get up. One thing worth noting and is a big bonus
for me, is that the walls seem to be very solid with very little sound coming
from other rooms. Both nights i thought the rooms next be me were vacant, but
discovered in the morning that they were occupied. I always get a very good
sleep here. Stay here you won't be disappointed!

I went to this hotel for business but noticed that it's more than a nice
business hotel. It's located near to a lot of restaurants and bars. Also near to
a lot of the main tourist attractions in Victoria. So you can walk from the
hotel and leave the car in the parking lot (underground and secure). Overall
it's not an amazing hotel but the location make it a good choice.

We head to Victoria every year for 'Be a Tourist in Your Hometown', great deals
and not the crowds one might expect. The place we usually stay at wasn't on the
BATIYH list this year so we decided to try the Marriot. Location was superb,
walk to all attractions. Room sparkling clean. Decor kind of stuffy and the
parking under the hotel was very expensive, $17 per night. Best to leave the car
at home if you can since everything is in walking distance from the hotel. Was
not impressed with the restaurant, just had appetizers to take back to our room,
I had to go down and order them, then wait a long time in the pub, the room
service was only at breakfast or something. The clam or seafood chowder we got
was way
too salty. But again, GOOD food is within walking distance of the hotel.

Stayed 2 nights over spring break
Good location - short walk to the harbor
The room size and decoration was very good
The only issue I had was that we were given the 2nd floor which was noisy
because of the laundry, business center, Gym and pool location on the same
floor. I agree that when we booked from Marriott's website the rate we picked
said low floors I wish we would have gotten the 3rd floor or something (I am
deducting 1 star because of this)
Staff was friendly
The weekend rates are attractive so it makes sense to stay here during weekend
if you are on vacation with family

We were in Victoria for a fun weekend, and chose to stay at the Marriott for a
change. This hotel has become our future home in Victoria. The staff was great,
courteous and quick to accommodate any request we made (we asked for a fridge in
our room and a rollaway bed, both brought immediately after we asked).
Everything we needed for our visit was in the room, even an umbrella!
The room itself was spotless and quiet, and the bed was perfect. The bathroom
was large and well appointed. The location of the hotel is fantastic for walking
to anywhere in downtown Victoria.

This Marriott had all the amenities - balcony with view, complimentary robes,
plush appointments such as a feather duvet. The decor was not to my taste - a
modern take on traditional - too ornate for me. One thing I loved was that after
staying in several hotels this trip, I noticed their heated air in this room was
not as dry as other places I've stayed. They must have a humidifying system. I
appreciate that! Staff was all super friendly and helpful.

We stayed for the weekend and loved it.
Excellent customer service from the beginning to the end of our visit.The room
was very clean, the business centre was there when we needed it, the health club
looked very inviting, the restaurant served up a great breakfast.
The steam room was temporarily closed but you have to expect something to make
the hotel imperfect.
I highly recommend this hotel for a couple of nights. Great location, what more
can I say.
Must be in the top 5 hotels in Victoria. |
