I would go back in a heartbeat!
I enjoyed walking into the lobby of the Queen Victoria. It's quite elegant. The
staff is very efficient. The room was spacious and beds comfortable. The
swimming pool , hot tub and sauna/spa are very nice. There is a separate
changing room and showers. The coffee was great, too!

The hotel is in a great location across from the Royal BC Museum. We got a good
rate. The beds were comfortable. The only downside is that our room was down the
hall from the elevator and there was some hallway chatter in the evening. In
retrospect, I wish we asked for a room farther from the elevator. The front desk
was helpful in answering our questions about public transit and provided
printouts for the route we needed. They also provided a 1:1 currency exchange
from US to Canadian dollars ($15), which was better than the exchange rate. The
front desk staff also was helpful in trying to find our battery charger we left
in the room. Wifi is free and available in the guest rooms.

Stayed here for the third time and once again I fell in love with this Hotel. If
you want a clean place to stay that won't leave you second guessing, this place
is for you, especially if you are germ phobic. The cleaning staff are amazing!
The front desk staff are helpful and very accommodating. I arrived earlier than
the check in time with 2 young children exhausted. The staff was able to find a
room that was ready so I could check in, life saver. I rated the rooms at a 4
only because they don't offer microwaves in the room, although there is an
option of a full use kitchen in your room for an additional cost. The indoor
pool is nice, just a little chilly. I haven't had the food in the restaurant, it
appears to be a little over priced. Overall another great stay. I will be back.!

The Queen Victoria is a nice hotel....in a wonderful city. We have stayed there
three times over the years, and I would rate it right in the middle. There are
nicer hotels in Victoria, but....for the value you get the Queen Victoria is OK.
We have always gotten a clean room, a nice bed and a balcony with a partial view
of the inner harbor. The reception is friendly and efficient. We have only eaten
at the restaurant once and that was for breakfast. The fare was pretty standard.
Pros and Cons: Pro...the location is great. You can walk to just about anything.
Con...parking can be a little tight if you bring a car.

We just returned from Victoria, and of all the places we've stayed in the past
this was our favorite. We had a single bed suite with the a view - very
comfortable size room. The room was clean, and the bathroom/shower area was
nice. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, which is always enjoyable
to me. We used the gym which was small but nice. Parking was very reasonable at
$4.00/night. Location was excellent - we mostly walked to downtown locations
from the hotel. Did not use the pool/hot tub, but they looked nice as well. Only
complaints - would have been nice to have a microwave in the room in addition to
the fridge. I think their are kitchen suites available, but microwaves seem to
be standard now in most places. Would have been nice to have a bar in the hotel.
We ate at the restaurant only once for breakfast and were not impressed - coffee
was bad, food was ok but not prepared with any care, and glasses were dirty. But
overall, it was an excellent value and comfortable stay, so we will be back on
our next trip.

We stayed at the hotel in early January and had a fantastic visit. We had a
studio room and were very comfortable. It was nice to have the shower and toilet
in a small room that was separate from the sink area. We did have some trouble
with the internet connection but, we were able to use the computers in the
office area that is set up for visitors. Breakfast was included with our stay
and it was very good. I would stay at the Queen Victoria again. In fact, some
family members and friends of the family are heading to Victoria in a week and
are booking some rooms for their stay.

Our stay at the Queen Victoria was fantastic! Our suite provided lots of space
for parents, 2 children and 2 grandparents, included 2 bedrooms, nicely
appointed kitchenette and harbour view. We would definitely book again. and
recommend.

Right off the airport shuttle, I'm led to a clean foyer to check in. Front desk
staff member was professional, and polite. The room was spotless, although the
bed wasn't as comfortable as it could be - however, the pillows were very fluffy
and comfy, so for the price, it all evened out.
The gym is smaller than it appears in the photos, so it's quite squishy if there
is even one more person in it. The hot tub is a great temperature, and both
amenities are clean, too. I needed to use the business centre to print, and have
no complaints. The wifi worked great for me all four days of my trip (on both
laptop and smartphone), but I have seen reviews where it was a concern for the
guest.
The location can't be beaten - very near many restaurants and cafes open for
breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The inner harbour is so close so there's plenty to
see as well as eat.
Overall, the hotel was clean, staff friendly, and I will book in again next time
I'm in Victoria.

Stayed here with family in two bedroom suite. Rooms had the heat on full blast
but rooms were still cold due to draft from the windows. When I notified the
front desk she offered extra blankets or to check us out at 9pm with 3 little
kids and then gave us attitude. Morning staff was nice but the room plus night
staff make this one hotel we won't be recommending to anyone.
