Great place to stay within city bounds, yet a short walk
will bring you to the sea walk and more resort type
living. A great place to stay if you enjoy the benefits
of a lively nightlife.
As to be expected in a city situation, easy parking
accessibility is a hindrance.

Excellent location , at walking distance from all off
downtown Victoria attractions, and at only one block of
the bus stop to and from the ferry port.
Room and bathroom are somewhat small .

I liked that there was a pub in the hotel and a friendly
group of locals hanging out who made it fun. I did not
like that I did not get informed that there was a price
increase on May 1 no one pointed this out to me so it
was a big shock to me when I went to pay the bill and
the hotel staff acted like well you should have seen
this on the web.

Cheap rooms that are right downtown
The Sticky wicket, the hotel's restaurant, didn't take
hotel guests into consideration! Not impressed at all!

breakfast was good and if your thirsty you have options
downstairs for a beer at the pub or a drink and dancing?

When we arrived to this hotel there was be a
misunderstanding: the booking of the room was just for
one night instead of two. The staff was very friendly
and we had an upgrade room at the same price. Anyway no
hairdry like it is wrote on the website and above all
the cleanliness of the room was a little bit poor .We
found hairs in our towels. There is noise during the
night above all if you have a room on Douglas Street,
but it could be reasonable for the price I paid for this
hotel.

Very good value for money. Location is great right on
the main street of downtown (I.E. walking distance to
everything). It was clean and good enough for us (young
couple in 20's). Breakfast was simple but included in
price. Liqour store downstairs. I would stay at this
hotel again.
If you need to use Wi-fi don't even bother. Go to Blenz
ffee one block up. The signal was so weak from my room I
couldn't even connect. Also this hotel has a rooftop
club during the summer; we arrived during their opening
night which was on a Sunday, so we could hear the music
when we were trying to fall asleep. I'm pretty sure that
the club is only open on weekends but that may be
something you want to confirm if you want complete quiet
throughout the night. We easily fell asleep because we
were tired, but if you're not a sound sleeper this may
bother you.

We were very pleased with the service at the hotel, its
location and the continental breakfast. I did hear
comments from people with rooms at the front of the
hotel that there was too much noise at night from
surrounding clubs but rooms in the back are not affected
by the noise so I would request one if noise if a
problem for you.
Area recommendations
Victoria--everywhere is great to visit. I have been
there too many times to count and still find more to see
and do

This was my third time staying in Victoria, for the
Victoria Marathon weekend.
I got the promo "stay for 3 nights and pay for 2", I am
a student and wanted to keep my costs down so this was
perfect for me.
I also wanted something that was centrally located and
this sure is!
THE PROS
* location
*Central to everything
THE CONS
* Noise levels were high even though we were on the
"quiet" side of the building
* the room was SUPER small.
* The bathtub was slanted and not level
* Can hear everything the next room does, including a
book dropping.
* Widows did not open enough
* Poor view
* Had to pay for parking
* No fridge!
Alll and all I got what I paid for the rooms were clean
the staff were friendly but the rooms were small and did
not induce a "romantic" feeling into the room.
lol
If you want something that is central, cheap then this
is for you.
