We stayed here for 3 nights our kids 14 and 9 enjoyed the free hot chocolate in the lobby as well as the free movies on the tv. They also liked being able to go to the breakfast room in the morning to help themselves. All of the staff seemed friendly and our room was clean and comfortable, great location for walking and sight seeing. Great restaurant across the street Santiagos we ate there 2 nights. Great time had by all in Victoria

My husband and I stayed in town to enjoy an evening out in Victoria.
The hotel is in a perfect location. Everything is within walking distance.
Nice and quiet location. The staff is very friendly.
We will definitely make this our hotel of choice when staying in Victoria.

Victoria was the conclusion of our drive through the Rockies from Calgary, and our four days at the harbourside Best Western Plus were a fitting climax to a super tour. Our fifth floor room looked over the trees to all the brilliant activity of the harbour. A noisy bicycle polo tournament was taking place in the afternoons, and the seaplanes taking off were not exactly inaudible. But hey, that's what you get for choosing the lively side. And the disturbances were only temporary. The staff were never anything short of welcoming and helpful, the continental breakfast (included) comprehensive (but make sure to get there before 8 a.m. to avoid the crowd). Our room was large, comfortable, with a sitting area to watch TV and an equipped kitchenette. We'd stay there again.

I stayed here for four nights. My room was on the 5th floor. I couldn't hear my neighbours which was refreshing! The view overlooked the garden and in the background the Harbour. The bed was very comfortable but the decor pretty dated! The room had everything you could wish for though the bathroom towels were on the small side. The kitchen area was great but I can't figure out why they give you all the kitchen facilities including microwave, oven, cutlery etc but no plate or bowl to eat off or pan to boil an egg! Slightly illogical but no matter for me as I wasn't planning on cooking.

The "exercise room" is tiny wee with 3 cardio machines. Airless and I imagine you would melt in the heat but it did the job for me. I didn't use the pool or hot tub but they both look well maintained and clean.

Parking is underground and secure. Parking and Wifi are both free. I had trouble with the wifi (my computer not the hotel's problem) but on trying to solve it with the IT number on the card in the room, the people at the other end of the phone were totally and utterly hopeless. Very polite but knew nothing about computers. Eventually on of the incredibly helpful girls on reception helped get it going. Sarah you are a genius!

Breakfast was fine. A good selection but the coffee not so great (but that is a personal thing). My only complaint for breakfast is I think when you are paying such high rates for a hotel they could possibly trust their guests not to drop their plates and bowls and stretch to give us china rather than plastic. It made an expensive hotel suddenly feel very cheap having to eat off plastic. What a shame!

The only other negative would be that if you are not an early riser then be aware the float planes start at 7.00 a.m. on the dot every morning so if a light sleeper you will be woken up by the first plane starting up. Not a problem for me as am an early riser but might be best to request a room on the back rather than the harbour side if that might bother you.

The staff were brilliant and all very helpful, friendly and courteous. I would go back though do think they are pricey - almost comparable in price to the great rate I got at the Four Seasons elsewhere in Canada and you obviously can't compare the two. Maybe that is Victoria prices though.
