Almost every February for the past four years my husband
and I have come to Victoria with friends to go to a
convention at the University of Victoria. We like
staying in or near downtown Victoria, but have had a
tough time finding a good hotel to stay at without
spending a fortune - until now!
This hotel is really wonderful! It was very clean,
well-managed and in the perfect location (very close to
downtown as well as an easy drive to the university). We
felt very safe in the area as well and it was very
quiet. The view was also quite nice! We loved that it
had a kitchenette and it was very nice to come back
after a long day at the convention to find the room
cleaned up and the dishes done! Very appreciated.
We will definitely be staying in this hotel on our next
trip to Victoria!
I don't really have anything bad to say about it, though
I will say we may request to stay on the first floor
next time. The stairs are very steep and there wasn't an
elevator. It was a little hard getting the luggage
upstairs, but once there, it was great.

I Checked in on a Monday and the nice lady at the front
desk (I forget her name) immediately offered us a free
upgrade at no charge! The room was very cozy and clean,
with a view of the waterway.
The only problem I had was that my neighbours decided to
throw a party a little after midnight. We had an early
morning appointment so to be woken up at that hour was
extremely frustrating. Understandably not the hotels
fault, but I called the front desk and the gentleman was
quick to respond. I heard him knock on their door in
under 2 mins and the rest of the night was quite.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that their
breakfast menu starts at $5.95. This was the cheapest
I've had in any hotel in Victoria and the meal was great
too.
All in all, very friendly and helpful staff and I will
definitely be staying here again. Both the check-in and
check-out process was painless and quick so more kudos
for that!

This was an excellent Hotel very well maintained and
excellent friendly staff being a Christmas stay, the
staff were very friendly even though they were away from
their family's As far as we were concerned it rates a 5
star. We certainly will go back and stay again when we
visit the Island.

We stayed at Travelodge Victoria in the summer of 2010
and had a couple of issues with regard to noise and
security. After being offered an opportunity to return
in January 2011, we took them up on their offer. We
stayed in a one-bedroom suite on the top floor and had a
gorgeous view of the city. The rooms were very
comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the living room
(with 2 hide-a-beds) was spacious and well appointed.
The hotel is a bit dated but clean and good value for
the money. The location is close to public
transportation, good walking paths, and other amenities.
Though we did not take advantage of the restaurant at
the hotel, it appeared to be reasonably priced. We will
definitely stay here again.

Accommodations for Couples We stayed the night of Dec.
31, 2010. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Place was
spotless and quiet. Room was very nice and clean and
very up-to-date. Nice view overlooking the Gorge
waterway, a full breakfast was included. We also asked
for a late chec-out and got that with no problem. Very
convenient and central location as well.

Accommodations for Couples Loved our stay here, the
staff were great - we were upgraded to a King suite with
a harbour view; the bed was sooo big by English
standards :) The room had everything we needed including
a kitchenette and we took advantage of the laundry and
free internet in the reception. It took about 20 minutes
to walk into town which wasn't too bad for us but others
may prefer to use the bus (the hotel has a free shuttle
service into town but it is not very regular). We wanted
to go whale watching and so were recommended to use Orca
Spirit (cheaper than the other providers) - we booked a
3 hour tour but were out for nearer 4 hours as we saw
both killer whales and humpbacks; the captain was
enthusiastic and knowledgeable! All in all a great stay
and would recommend to others!

Accommodations for Couples I came from Vancouver to
celebrate New Years with my girlfriend in Victoria. We
ended up staying 3 nights and had a great time.
Travelodge gave us a great deal and what we got in
return was fantastic.
Helpful staff, very friendly manager and free
internet/parking! There was a promotion going on at the
time and we were offered complimentary breakfast which
was amazing.
Since there was extra room at the hotel, we were also
given a free upgrade and had a beautiful view of the
upper harbour! Location was quiet and close to where we
wanted to go. The indoor pool was a great bonus as well.
Our time in Victoria was special and having a stress
less good night's sleep at this hotel made it that much
better. I would recommend this hotel to anyone intending
to stay near downtown Victoria and I plan on staying
there again! Best deal and great service.
