Review of the Accent Inn Victoria

The front desk checked us in quickly and helped us with some good advice about
getting around in Victoria. The rooms are decent, just what you can expect from
hotels in this class. The location is not great as it is located right next to a
very busy road (as you can see on street view) and there for the room was very
noisy. The service was disappointing. When I experienced some problems with the
toilet in the room the front desk gave me some tools and let me solve the
problem myself.
The restaurant located next to the hotel was very reasonably priced and not bad
at all (we just had breakfast there). The mall which is located near by is very
nice. We also appreciated the complementary shuttle service to the town center
which is handy as parking is difficult and costly in Victoria.

We checked into our suite quickly and efficiently despite it being 8pm on a long
weekend Friday. The Hotel was beautifully presented and clean. The room was
standard fare, nothing splashy or extravagant, just what a family with young
children needs. Plenty of parking and the hotel restaurant where we ate
breakfast the next day was reasonable, and again, nothing splashy or
extravagant. When we opened the sofa bed for the boys to sleep, and the sheets
were covered with other peoples hair and there was even a dirty band aid. so, I
choked back my disgust and called the front desk. We were promptly offered
another room, which we declined in lieu of clean sheets and a discount on our
room. The sheets arrived promptly and the night manager was so apologetic and
even took the time to help uis make up the bed. the discount was greatly
appreciated, and we slept comfortably that night. The rooms showed signs of age,
but it was mostly clean and since we were properly compensated for out troubles,
i have no complaints.

We had no reservations, took a chance and was greatly pleased with the friendly
service by Linda & Rose. Gave us driving instructions to a store and they were
right on it. When we went to check out, Laurie & Whitney were so nice. If we
were not on a road trip we would have spent another night.

We went to Victoria, BC for 4 nights. We have a race car and team. The hotel
staff were wonderful and accommodating. When we asked for a room change to the
first floor it was given to us. Handicap parking right in front of the room. The
room was clean and had all the nice accommodations. The location is great for
getting around town.
The restaurant next door Brannigan's had a nice menu, reasonably priced and a
very friendly staff.
We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next race
outing.

After spending over a week in hostels I met up with some family members and we
stayed in the Accent Inn in Victoria. When we first checked in we thought the
room smelled odd - eventually we realized the smell was wet dog and it was a pet
room. The bathroom had hairs in the tub, the toilet had urine on it and the beds
had dog hair all over them.
They gave us another room, and they were friendly and quick about it - but that
doesn't change the experience from the first room - and remember, I'd been
staying in hostels...they were cleaner.
Also a heads up - no pool, and the gym/hot tub is off site.
