Perhaps we were naive and a thank you to the manager for
sorting this out but as we stayed here for three nights
in a double double room with kitchenette where the beds
were a little on the small size for the four of us, and
the kitchen had seen better days then we thought that
breakfast would be included, given that we were paying
over C$300 for the privellege and as this is a budget
hotel, and a this sort of rate and also at a HIX
breakfast would be included thought the same would apply
here. No it does not. The facility has been outsourced
by Hojo and they are attempting to charge $6.99 pp for a
buffet of negligible quality, and a lack of service in
improving such quality. It is a joke which caught us and
others. Noticed later that those in the know headed off
in their vehicle to a nearby restaurant for breakfast.
After being bitten we decided to find a convenience
store to stock the fridge with provisions.
The room we were in was on the third floor and close to
the lift. Noise outside the room door was evident and
the view out of the room was not inspiring and the decor
was tired as has been said on other reviews. However,
internet access was good and free. With hindsight and as
we had to drive into the city anyway we would choose a
hotel further out as to find a budget priced hotel is
quite difficult in Victoria.
A good point about this hotel was the swimming pool
which was a good size and there were separate changing
and shower facilities for males and females. Newspapers
were available on a daily basis on a table near
reception.
We were able to see a fair amount of the city and there
was a hardback tourist book in the room with an inspired
car tour around the Saanich Peninsula which was quite
good and therefore we will probably not be visiting
Victoria again. Otherwise we would be looking for an
alternative budget hotel.

We stayed one night and took two rooms. In the first
room my husband and I got the TV did not work so we got
moved to an adjoining one. In my son's room there was a
mouse running around during the night - possibly
entertaining but not what one expects. The receptionist
gave us $15 off the price and it was only after an email
exchange with higher management that we got $75
refunded, which was less than the cost of the room. The
fridge was very noisy all night also

Good location
Hotel very easy to find, to go in and to go out. But car
is needed. Not very impressed by the quality of the
hotel compared to the price but best deal I found at
that time on Expedia.

Hotel needs remodelling
Location is not bad, really close to downtown. Free
parking and swimming pool are plus. Personnel was nice.
It could be really nice hotel if they will do some
improvements inside. Old carpets, old windows, old TV
sets, old sheets, old sofa (yuck!)...looks like needs
major cleaning.

Would certainly do a repeat trip back
This was a 5* of 2* hotels. Conveniently located to the
local attractions. The walking trail right at the hotel
was a great bonus. Having the fridge & stove was
excellent even though we didn’t use it much as we were
too busy seeing the sights. For the price of the room
this was a very good deal, there is a bar were a lot of
locals hang out, staff are friendly. Only tried the
restaurant for breakfast once & it was good too. I would
definitely stay here again.

More than satisfied
Enjoyed our stay. Price was good. Air conditioner was
very noisy. Drive way difficult to exit due to
visibility issues and very busy road.

Pretty good hotel for the price we payed!
It’s a nice small hotel located just about 7-10 minutes
of driving from downtown. The service is pretty good and
the rooms are decent. When we go next time this hotel
will be number one in our list. Of course I recommend
this place to my friends.

Pretty good hotel for the price we paid!
It’s a nice small hotel located just about 7-10 minutes
of driving from downtown. The service is pretty good and
the rooms are decent. When we go next time this hotel
will be number one in our list. Of course I recommend
this place to my friends.

good value for the money
This hotel is dated but it was clean and staff were
friendly. The location was great and it was easy to get
downtown and to the airport. Watch the pool -- it was
dirty!

The cost was great and the rooms were clean. I wish the
pool was a little more heated. It was a great place to
stay. I'd recommend it. Rooms were clean and there was
no smell of smoke. You can't ask for better for this
cost.
