I'm big on the getting the whole package when staying at a hotel and the
Marriott in Victoria got it bang on, again!
The staff at this hotel really make it all come together, from the Concierge,
Front desk staff, the Manager, the Bar staff, Housekeeping etc.. PERFECT! They
were so helpful when we asked for an extension for our parking and late checkout
there was no problem. I was looking for a shop's location in town and the front
desk went out of their way to help me find it on-line. Later in the bar, the 3
or so staff members there could not have been more friendly or helpful. All of
the staff at the hotel really seemed to enjoy their job and went out of their
way to help, and not in a fake way!
As for the rooms, the beds are huge and the most dreamy comfortable I have ever
stayed in, and the toiletries are to die for. The standard room is great for 2
people, very clean and very quite.
If you stay anywhere else while in Victoria you will miss out! We will
definitely be back :-)
Thanks to the staff, you are a perfect example of how ALL hotel staff should be.

I love this hotel and the service may well be the best I have experienced of any
Marriott properties. We were treated like royalty from the moment we checked in
and I must say that the concierge staff was exceptional - with a particular
shout out to Pamela who helped make a birthday celebration special. Room was
nice though starting to get tired, location is great, exercise facilities are
better than average for a hotel. Very nice pool, spa and a steam room which we
used often with the unseasonably cold weather. Victoria is a beautiful city and
this is a best in class Marriott - we will definitely be back!

Had a great room, with a view of the parliament building, which was very pretty
at night. The really great thing was that the hotel was nice and quiet, I dont
know whether we were just lucky and didn't have noisy guests next door, but
there was no noisy plumbing, roaring air conditioning or street noise, just a
great nights sleep. It was easy to self park under the hotel, which was also
reasonably priced.
The touristy parts of the city are right by and easy to walk to, overall a hotel
i would recommend to a friend.
Also the staff were lovely too, the doorman took the mickey out of us for
dashing out without coats on then sheepishly having to skulk back in to get
them, he kept reminding us to wear our coats after that!!!

The rooms are so spacious and clean. Near the main road but slept all night...no
traffic noise. Customer service was great...very helpful. Check-in and out was
very fast. Would recommend this hotel every time.

Stayed at the Marriott for a business conference. It was fantastically close to
the Victoria Conference Centre, I could run back to my room easily between
sessions. Although they were out of single king bed rooms, the two double beds
were easily large enough. Pillows were above average. The staff was always very
friendly and helpful, and concierge was happy to take time to listen to what I
was interested in and then make good suggestions. Overall a very nice stay!

The hotel is in an excellent location relative to the harbour front and an easy
walk to the entire downtown. Modern, clean, not overly large tower with nice
rooms with a variety of great views of Victoria. Lobby bar is very relaxing,
staff are friendly, and food is very good.

The Victoria Marriott Inner Harbor is a perfect place to be a first time visitor
to Victoria.
The hotel is well kept, the rooms are relatively spacious for the money, and the
parking affords easy access to your room. Security is good. The lobby concierge
gave us three terrific leads for great restaurants that were within easy walking
distance (The Blue Fox for breakfast was most outstanding).
We were able to take several walks around the harbor and, upon leaving via ferry
for Port Angeles, WA, the Coho Ferry was just down the street. Whale watching
and fishing are also available nearby.
The only negative we found was that the "shopping district" three blocks away
didn't have much in the way of memorable things to bring back - name brand
stores were not to be found - and the stores there were really tourist souvenir
traps with pretty much the same stuff one after another.

The location really can't be beat, right behind the Empress, across the street
from Budget Rental Car, walking distance to everything in the Inner Harbor. We
stayed on the concierge floor, breakfast, cocktails, and dessert was available
at appropriate times. We only made the cocktail hour one evening, but we had a
great snack of cheese, fruits, a stew. I grabbed coffee every morning, but had
the full breakfast downstairs in the restaurant, but probably should have had it
in the lounge. Service in the lounge was excellent. Water and drinks were
available as well. Room, decor very comfortable.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and enjoy the views, staff
friendliness and its location. It rates right up there with five star hotels,
even though it is rated 4 star, and I think that is because it does not have a
gym or fitness centre I can recommend booking for the concierge levels - great
value for money.
