Nice quiet hotel close to harbour.
Hotel was conveniently located for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was extra but under $5 a night and on site. We were upgraded to a harbour view room and we could see the harbour from the small balcony. They do have kitchens available for an extra charge (we did not choose this option. They also have an indoor pool and whirlpool which was nice.

Good value, nicely updated.
I was very pleased with this hotel. It’s in a quite location but is downtown near the harbour and many attractions. It seems to have been recently renovated and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s a bargain at the price. Good facilities including a pool, a small business centre and an excellent restaurant. Try it, you’ll like it.

The hotel's location can't be beat! We stayed here for 3 nights during the Victoria Marathon and for us the location was superb. Walking distance to everything; restaurants, shopping, bars, bike rentals.
The towels were more like cheese cloth or sand paper, and the bed coverings could be replaced, but other than that, a decent stay.
Nice spa/pool area to relax after a long day or night of walking around; the rooms though had a weird moth ball smell to them. It may be due to the age of the building or something, but once you were in there for a minute the smell didn't bother us much.

A very nice hotel close to the Harbourside and main attractions of Victoria.
Rooms are well appointed and the reception staff are very helpful. Breakfast serviced is very efficient, although the restaurant is very busy in the evening, so table reservations are advised. However, there are numerous other good eating establishments not too far away.

In the lobby we were congratulated with our 40 years of marriage, we were upgraded to a very nice room with kitchen and two balconies and a view on the harbour side. There also was a nice bottle of wine in a cooler.
We never have seen this on our round trip through West Canada!
The people in this hotel are very nice and helpful, the restaurant is good and the prices are very reasonable.
We strongly recommend this hotel!!!!!

We spent two nights here and found the hotel to be fine. Excellent location. My daughter contacted them and arranged to have a bottle of champagne in the room as it was my husband's birthday - this was done within the hour and ready in a bucket of ice with two flutes so good service there.

We booked an offer that included breakfast...well it did and it didn't..... What we got was a card with a list of options, meaning that you could have one of - eggs/bacon or cereal or toast, etc. etc. with coffee. No juice was included. Breakfast wasn't great. When we commented that we had assumed it would mean a proper breakfast with proper choices we were told that the restaurant was owned by a separate company and that the breakfast voucher had a value of $11...not what we expected to get. If you book this offer, check exactly what it means.

When we were checking in we asked if they had a room overlooking the harbour, they had one left and and we agreed to take it and pay extra for this. The receptionist took so long 'faffing' round on the computer and running in and out of the back office that the room was given to someone else while we stood there. The other receptionist who gave the room to another guest seemed quite smug about this. Maybe they have a private competition or something - anyway, it left a bit of a bad taste.

Our room looked out to the side over the bowling green which was pleasant enough. I notice that the lowrise building in front of this section is probably going to be replaced by two towers so that may cause problems in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel as our guest’s feedback is always appreciated.
As the Queen Victoria Hotel & Suites is privately owned & run, our front desk team strives to maintain a high standard of customer service & are trained to be very detail orientated & therefore I do apologize if you feel that we did not meet these standards.
Our Bed & Breakfast Package menu offers a limited variety of nutritious breakfast choices that have been specifically compiled to not only offer our guests an individual choice of breakfast but also great value for accommodation, including breakfast.
At this point in time, it is has not yet been determined what is going to happen to the property situated next to the hotel, however I can assure you that the owner of the hotel is monitoring this matter closely.

We chose this for the location and we were not disappointed. It was spotlessly clean and the room was spacious. Staff were great - the only complaint we had was the lack of bar - we wanted a drink before bed but as there was a private function in the dining room they would not serve us in the lobby. Apart from that it was great . Very good value for money
