Guest Review of the Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Victoria BC

We took a last minute holiday trip to Victoria, staying at this Best Western
with our dog. We spent Christmas Eve at the hotel. The hotel was quiet, being a
holiday, but the staff were all very friendly and did not seem unhappy to work
on Christmas Eve/Day. They even offered a continental breakfast on Christmas
morning since their restaurant was closed. The hotel is in a great location -
walking distance to all of downtown. And, they have complimentary valet parking
which was a very nice surprise! Great value, pet friendly hotel.

Has a great stay, was thoroughly impressed with the staff. Always smiling and
asking what they could do for me. The cleaning lady was a delight. For an old
building it has upgraded nicely.
Parking is tricky as it busy - no suggestions on what you could do though

My husband an I stayed for 2 nights. Location wise it is ok, a few minutes walk
from the water and near china town. It is slightly cheaper than the other best
western in Victoria purely due to location. This was a very nice hotel, polite
staff and facilities are good. Parking is extra and away from the hotel. You
need to order your car 10minutes before you require it. There was confusion over
the price on checkout. We received a walk in price, and on checkout they put the
price for the second night up saying its variable rate each night. I was not
prepared to accept this as we were quoted for two nights and they did eventually
give us the walk in price we received. Just be careful of the variable night
rate. Otherwise a very nice hotel.

For a clean ,decent convenient location and" probably the most helpful and
friendly staff" from the front desk to the house keeping including the free
valet parking". It was most refreshing to know that the staff really cared for
their guests"

The Best Western is pretty good....decent rooms (we got the one bedroom one with
a lot more space), really nice spacious kitchenette....the location is awesome.
It is just an average hotel though...and the biggest blow was that their was no
pool/arcade or anything for the kids to do....the service was really good
though. We also had a view of nothing but dirty roofs and satellite dishes...but
that is to be expected in a downtown hotel :)
