Stayed at the Embassy Inn in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia in August 2009
with 3 other girl friends. We had two adjoining rooms. Lovely view even though
we were not on the waterfront. Nice hotel one block from waterfront, right
beside the parliament buildings and one block from the Royal B.C. Museum.
Actually, was nice to be a block off the main waterfront street as it is very
busy and noisy at times. You can walk everywhere in this vicinity right near the
inner harbour of Victoria - which is the main tourist area. Great shopping,
restaurants, artisan vendors, gardens and flowers everywhere. The Embassy Inn
also had a nice outdoor pool. We found the water a little too warm! Rooms were
clean and tidy with a coffee maker in room. Everything was very nice and
definitely will stay at this hotel again. The staff were really friendly. This
is a great location for visiting the city of Victoria and being able to walk in
every direction and not need a car. And - compared with other hotels in the
surrounding area, it is a very good deal.

Embassy Inn met all our expectations. Great check-in with many helpful hints and
a discount coupon for the Royal BC Museum. Room was spacious, like new, quiet
even though it was only 20 feet from the elevator. Ample free parking which was
a plus. A few blocks from everything.

Our stay at the Embassy Inn was a pleasant experience. The location was great.
The hotel was clean and quiet, and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was
very good. If your in town to see the Museum and the downtown sights this is a
great place to stay.

This hotel has two sections, an older style "motel" and a newer tower. We stayed
in the older section and were very pleased. The rooms are large and comfortable.
The Pool is just outside the door and the surroundings are beautiful. Great for
families.

The staff was very friendly. Clean and comfortable room. The restaurant was good
food and reasonable. Excellent location near the harbor and walking distance to
many sights. The pool was outdoors and a little cool while swimming. We will go
back to this hotel.

Room was quite large and comfortable, with kitchenette and dining table. Best
parts about this hotel: very, very close to all downtown Victoria attractions
and free parking. Staff very pleasant. I recommend.

We were in Victoria for the Dragon Boat races with a group from Coquitlam called
Nothin' Dragon. My wife and I were in one room on the ground floor with the pool
right outside our door. The room was very clean with nice furniture and a very
large comfortable bed. The amenities like the hair dryer, nice size table and
chairs, and the TV with remote made our stay more comfortable after a hard day
on the water. The location is very handy to the inner harbour and other tourist
sites. We were able to leave our vehicle parked at the hotel and walk to all our
race sites and evening activities. The restaurant was nice with a good breakfast
menu, and the early start allowed our team to eat and make it to the race site
on time for our race. I would stay there again with no complaints.

The staff was really nice. While checking in, we had some problems which is that
he couldn't find my name on the reservation list. Well, I used ny legal name, not
the one people usually call me, but they gave us a new room. And after 5 minutes
we arrived our new room, they called and told us that he found my reservation.
Besides, the Sunday morning buffet was pretty good. Close to harbour and
shopping.

I liked the hotel room I stayed in, for the price I paid. I got a king size bed,
AND a kitchenette! Good cable TV, all for only $90.
Some of the lamps didn't work, and at 8:00 the next morning, there was some
event going on by the harbour, but I thought it was someone's TV playing too
loud, which it wasn't. But that's not really the fault of the Embassy Inn. We
just happened to be staying on the side of the inn that was closest to the
harbour.

Centrally located, easy to get to by public bus from ferry or airport, quiet
scenic area, close to nice small restaurants and shopping.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed in this hotel and both times the staff have
been friendly and helpful. It is a little basic but the rooms are clean and the
beds are comfortable. I only had breakfast at the restaurant but it was very
good food and reasonably priced. The location is perfect (right next door to the
legislative building) in the Inner Harbour. I would definitely stay here again.
Nautical Nellies on Wharf Street is a fantastic seafood and grill. Bit on the
pricey side but you get what you pay for - fantastic food and quality service.
They also have a good selection of BC wines. |
