We stayed at the Gatsby Mansion after arriving on the Victoria Clipper. The dock
was right across the street from the Mansion which made it convenient since we
were on foot. Also very close to the Parliament Building and BC Museum. Short
walk to shops and restaurants on the inner harbor. City buses or tour buses can
be found to get to Buschart Gardens.

We would go back to this charming hotel in a minute! We stayed for only one
night but had a suite with balcony overlooking the bay. We needed them to hold
our luggage the next morning until we caught our bus and they were happy to do
so. Absolutely no complaints.

The Inn was really well decorated and had the feel of a Victorian Mansion. The
woodwork and furnishings were beautiful. Lack of A/C made for a warm summer room
even with the window open and the provided fan running. The fresh cookies were
fantastic. The Staff was great. I would recommend this hotel.

The location of the Mansion was such that we were able to walk to town, to the
Assembly Building and to the Empress Hotel. That was a wonderful surprise.
The young people that are hired to work at the Gatsby are a credit to the
establishment and those who hire them are to be commended for a job very well
done.
Staying at the Gatsby was a pleasant experience for our family. We enjoyed the
taste of history, the wonderful cuisine and the excellent service which all
served to make the entire adventure a memorable one.

With its unique “pepper shaker” tower, the hotel, overlooked the Victoria’s
Inner Harbour, and reflects the essence of Victorian-era art and architecture.
The Victorian mansion, was smoke-free and offered wireless Internet access in
public spaces (surcharge), as well as complimentary parking. Enjoyed the use of
a fitness center, sauna, and oversized spa tub. The extensively landscaped
grounds are also home to an ice cream parlor, beer/wine shop, coin laundry,
scooter/bike rental, florist, and day spa.
Check out the Artisan’s Lane, located on the hotel’s property. The numerous
kiosks operated by local artists display and sell artworks and crafts, including
paintings, glasswork, jewelry, photography, quilts, leather ware, and sculpture.
Also the gardens and shops located on site, including art stalls and an ice
cream parlor, enhance the experience for vacationing couples and families.

Close to everything, with wonderful views. Great restaurants on site. The only
drawback is there is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up stairs.
Hotel staff did that on the way up but no one was available on our departure.
Even so, we would stay there again
Comfortable and clean
