Nearly drove past doesn't look much from the outside (but then - we didn't pay
much) but when you walk in it's a pleasant surprise. Lovely foyer and very
friendly, helpful staff.
Room was very clean and nice. We were four adults sharing the room overnight and
it was fine. Made full use of the free wireless internet.

Located just minutes from the downtown, this inn is close to the Gorge Waterway
as well as the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. Our room at the Ramada was
comfortable with suitable amenities that you would expect. The hotel's
restaurant had an affordable menu with a good selection. We did not use the the
gym or swimming pool .

This hotel was very nice for the price. Room was very clean and well maintained.
Hotel is not downtown, but very convenient to it via the public bus. Staff was
very friendly and courteous.
room 420 - comfortable, clean, spacious room - great value for money - large car
park - friendly reception staff - just one night....drove into Victoria
town/harbour area and parked (around $1.25 per half hour) - walked round site
seeing.........only down fall was the distance from centre.....

The staff was extremely friendly. Our stay went smoothly. Our pet was welcomed
and enjoyed his stay as well. I liked the bathroom location separate from the
vanity. The garage parking was untidy. In addition we witnessed many employees
smoking in the garage. We were pleased to find a hotel at such short notice but
would have preferred a hotel within walking from the tourist activities and
shopping. The hotel restaurant served cold food at our breakfast. The service
was slow. Our waitress claimed that her boss had to get ingredients at the store
and had not returned yet. We chose to eat there only once.

Friendly staff-nice room-good restaurant-very clean. We liked everything. Very
friendly and accommodating staff. room was very clean, comfortable, and had a
refrigerator. The restaurant had a good breakfast as well as dinner menu. We
also liked the pub downstairs as well as the liquor store. Good location, too.
Will be happy to stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator proved to be quite useful.
Staff was friendly and settled the one issue that came up. The food at the
dining room and pub was tasty.

Access to downtown - on bus line. Nothing I didn't like. I would recommend
staying there again. It was convenient to downtown, had a couple of restaurants
and a liquor store that were within walking distance.

i've stayed in this hotel with sports teams and it's great for that. but, if
you're looking for a nice stay, then go elsewhere. this hotel is a bit on the
outskirts of downtown and just not the best. it has a liquor store and a pub
which is great for convenience but attracts not the best of patrons. it can be
quite loud. however, on the positive, the rooms are clean and the staff are
generally nice. if you get it cheap then great.

This was just a fine place to stay & comparable, if not a little above average,
than the Ramada chains in the U.S. I stayed 4 nights & didn't have any problems
during my stay.
Yes, it is about a 10 minute drive from the Inner Harbour, but remember you are
paying much less as a result. The #11 bus stops right outside the hotel on Gorge
& drops you in the middle of downtown @ Douglas & View.
Didn't have a problem with noise...there was some street noise as my room was
closer to Gorge Rd., but with the fan turned on & the windows shut I couldn't
hear a thing.
The hotel staff was very nice. They let me keep my bags there after I checked
out until the afternoon ferry left for the U.S. Housekeeping did a good job and
the wireless service was fast & was online the whole time.
The room itself was not bad...the beds were comfortable & there was no
hair/stains/etc from previous people in the room. The TV had an above average
channel selection IMO. Yes, the rooms at the Empress Hotel are nicer, but you
are paying 3-4x less here as a result.
For the price I paid, I really don't have any complaints about the hotel. If you
remember that this isn't a 4 or 5 star hotel & you aren't paying for a 4 or 5
star hotel, you won't be disappointed at all.

I haven’t come across of a lot of pet friendly hotels and was worried about the
conditions. I am always paranoid of our pets getting fleas. Also having two
little loud boys I wasn’t sure how the other guests would re-act. But this hotel
was well-maintained and the walls were thick enough not to hear the next room.
Thank God! Their staff were even so friendly and accommodating, we would
certainly go back. Staff were really nice, hotel was clean especially for a pet
friendly hotel. |
