This hotel is walk able to everything. Had great meals recommended by concierge.
Blue Fox for breakfast, amazing and Pescatores for dinner, great seafood.
Concierge arranged for 2pm whale watching at 1:30pm!!! We didn't realize the
departure times, but the concierge worked miracles for us. He even got us a 10%
discount!!!! We ended going on the scarab with Seafun and saw lots of Orca
Whales and sea lions. My only gripe with the hotel is that they didn't have the
extra towels in room, that was indicated on my reservation and I am a Marriott's
member. This facility has a laundry room and free business center which was
helpful. My other recommendation is to have laundry detergent available in the
laundry room, not in the lobby in the the gift show which was inconvenient. Also
a coin changer in the laundry room would be helpful.

On our arrival in Victoria we were on a last minute hunt for a downtown hotel
and decided (after several direct inquiries in the hotel lobbies) to pay 20-50
Can $ more than chain hotels and motels charged nearby. A small premium we
happily paid. The Marriott is conveniently located in walking distance to the
main Victoria attractions. We parked the car on metered parking in front of the
hotel, which proved cheaper than the hotel garage. We were upgraded to a corner
suite with breathtaking view on the parliament, the harbour and Olympic
Mountains in the US. However, even without the corner suite (and a standard
room) we strongly recommend this hotel. From higher floors the view (in two
directions) is impeccable and worth some extra $. The rooms are well furnished
and on the top and newer line of Marriott. The bed was very comfortable. We
visited the BC Museum the next day which is less than 3 minutes walking
distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. From earlier visits to BC, I did
not have a very favorable impression of Victoria - this hotel and the great
views on downtown and the scenery changed my judgment completely. Hope to return
soon!

Just returned from Victoria and our stay at the Marriott Inner Harbor. Great
location for walking or connecting with public transportation. The staff could
not do enough to answer our questions, very knowledgeable. Don't know for sure,
but it felt as if some rooms might be privately owned - we had a balcony without
any furniture but noticed that many balconies had tables or chairs but not
matching! They didn't look like hotel furniture. Anyway, it was perfect. We did
not use the restaurants so can't give an opinion.

Normal Marriott. Rooms were tight, but the location was very good.

very attractive location close to everything in Victoria.
rooms have plenty of space but mattresses were of average quality.
breakfast was very ok but in a dark room without any window, could do much
better!
staff is incredible + very helpful on restaurants, sightseeing.
quite expensive but you get value for money.

I stayed at the Marriott Inner Harbor for one night. I was upgraded to a suite
that was incredible with a dining area, galley kitchen, living room, separate
bedroom, large bathroom with deep soaking tub and separate shower.

First trip to BC. Location of hotel 2 blocks to harbour and downtown was
excellent. Plenty of good restaurants around. Room and bathroom large and
luxurious. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about eateries and
things to do and how to get there!
Breakfast/Lunch at the Blue Fox is an absolute MUST!

The Marriott Inner Harbour is in a fantastic location. Everything is within
walking distance, but it isn't a main strip, so you don't get street noise at
night. Only a minute to the bus station (for shuttles to the airport, Butchart
Gardens, etc) and minutes to the inner harbour, museum, restaurants, and more!
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nicely decorated with very nice
bathrooms and comfortable beds. The staff was very nice, helpful (they gave us
good recommendations for a spa, food, etc) and assisted whenever we asked. I
would recommend to anyone!

We used to stay in
Westins but after too many bad experiences we decided to try this Marriott and
we're glad we did.
We were surprised at how nice this this hotel is. Service was great and
everything was very clean. The one con about this, and almost all hotels now, is why would anyone
want a down comforter in the summer? How about a nice light blanket instead?

Not the cheapest but got everything we expected. Very welcoming staff and
special thanks to the extremely courteous and helpfull concierge. Big room, huge
bed, excellent mattress, plenty of cushions, nice bar, friendly bartender.
Indoor swimming pool just ok. Breakfast room was not at the same standard, bit
dull and austere, no daylight. Overall perfect place to stay for a night or two.

Great Ambiance and perfect spot close to the harbor! The Service is excellent
and we were really welcome. Just the pool and the gym is a bit tiny if you are
there during the weekend. It can reach the max. capacity really quick. But who
is in Victoria for the hotel pool? The hotel rooms in the higher levels are
great because of their view over Victoria and the Olympic Mountains in
Washington.

The Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour will be familiar to anyone who has stayed at
a Marriott hotel, as it delivers a consistent business class experience to its
discerning guests. This is my preferred hotel in Victoria - it's relatively new,
quiet, nicely appointed, and located in the downtown core. You can't go wrong
staying here. |
