On the whole the Holiday Inn Hotel Whistler is very good. Our friends had a large lounge/kitchen and large bedroom with two queen beds, TV and plenty of room. We had a corner room with a well equipped kitchen, a smaller lounge than our friends and a very small bedroom. The bedroom also had two queen beds, one no space down one side and cramped under a sloping roof. This bed had no light to use and would really be only suitable for children to use. The other bed, which we used, had a one light and enough space at one side. The other side gap was very narrow and we really felt cramped, compared with all of the other ten hotels used in our trip. Our bedroom had no TV (there would not be room for it.)
Because of the sloping ceiling in the bathroom, you could bang your head when having a shower.
This room is the same price as the one used by our friends but nowhere near the value. We would have been totally happy with the hotel if we had not had this corner room. They could still use these rooms at a reduced price and with only one bed in the bedroom.
The hotel is well situated and there is a supermarket nearby which enabled us to provide our own breakfast. You could cook most meals in the very good kitchen.
We found the staff to be very nice.

Even though we used Priority Club points to stay here and it was free, I would have rather paid to stay in another hotel. Outside of the helpful staff, this hotel doesn't deserve to be called a Holiday Inn, much less a Sunspree Resort. The location is great until after dark, when rowdy young people start walking the Whistler Village yelling and screaming. But aside from that, the room was sparse, the bed was small and lumpy and the general feeling of it was depressing. And we even used extra points to get an "upgrade". I still don't know what that means. If you have another choice, take it, because Holiday Inn Hotel Whistler is not a great hotel.

Stayed here just one night but it was great surprise to have a washer/dryer in room to catch up with washing from our two week trip to Canada.
Laurel at reception organised a cake and decorations for my daughter's birthday (obviously there's a charge for this but the cake was great!) and left a lovely card in the room. I found the best deal through www.allure-hotels.com Room was clean and would be very cosy in winter with its fireplace. Nice little balcony too.
All in all very good

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable about the local area, they informed us of good tourist sites to see/experience. Room came complete with everything we would have needed for any length of stay (including washer/dryer). Very clean and well-prepared for our arrival. Hotel is located right in the village so the car remained parked in the underground lot for our stay (no need to hunt for parking spots in town). The only drawback to a hotel in the village (for a weekend stay anyways) is that the party-goers hang out in the walkways behind the hotels, talking and laughing until 4 or 5 a.m. (would suggest you book a room at the front of the hotel if possible). Whistler seems to have become a hangout for "20-30 something's" but overall is still quite enjoyable for a short visit in summer. It appears HI has done all they could to alleviate this problem by using good sound-proofing balcony door/windows so, if you can live with the hum of an air conditioner all night, even the inconsiderate revellers should not be an issue for you.

Good points: Good location, right in the centre of Whistler village, helpful staff, spacious suite, nice spa pool (if you go at the right time!).
Not-so- good points: pillows not as comfortable as advertised, limited toiletries (no shower gel!), noisy guests, no bath tub & no free parking as with all hotels at Whistler.

Prior to our arrival I organised for a b/day surprise cake and decorations to be in our room for my wife. Thanks go to Matt in Reception who was great in organising this for me. The rooms were spacious and had excellent kitchen facilities, pity we were not there long enough to utilise them. The bed was comfy and you are given a menu of pillow choices which was good. This was a very comfortable place to stay, we also had a balcony which looked over part of the village. Would be more than happy to stay at the Holiday Inn Hotel Whistler again.

Overall, the Holiday Inn Hotel Whistler was nicely furnished and big enough for two little kids to run around without getting in our way. The only downside is the fee for parking. I am a Priority Club Gold member and I thought having this status would at least get me free parking (a previous Holiday Inn I stayed at in San Francisco gave me free parking and breakfast for being a member).

The room was available for early check in a total bonus! Kitchenette cutlery and plates etc were not clean. Loud at night with lots of families and young people staying there close to the centre of the village and within walking distance of restaurants, grocery, and shops. Loved the kitchenette! A great place to stay.

The fireplace in the room was a nice touch. The only problem I had was that I was billed twice. The location was great, staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and well laid out. Very impressed with this hotel.

Rooms are spacious, beds comfy and the little kitchenette comes in handy. Take extra tea bags if you like your cuppa in the morning, 7-11 handy for other bits while you are there. Jetted bathtub is lovely after a day on the slopes and there's masses of closet space for all your gear. Staff very helpful indeed. Amazing location, everything is on your doorstep, therefore it can get a little rowdy outside some evenings but to be honest the location more than makes up for it cos after a day on the slopes you are shattered anyway. The Holiday Inn Hotel Whistler is a Great hotel!
