The Aava hotel is located very close to Whistler Village, so everything is at a
walking distance, very easy, and far enough to be away from the crowd and the
noise at night. The hotel features a great underground parking for low-height
vehicles (so your big-tires-redneck-truck will sleep outside), had great
ski/snowboard lockers also, so your gear and snow stay out you your room. Staff
is very friendly, the hot tube and warm pool are a must after a day riding the
mountain. The rooms are new and cozy, absolutely clean, and the bed is
fantastic. Wireless Internet works, but signal is weak, better use the cable on
the room. Had the best sleep nights ever, better than home, better than anywhere
else! Hotel is very quiet, but the air conditioner machine (independent for each
room) is kind of noisy at night. Prices were high due to Christmas and new years
season, on the average of other hotels in whistles (around $ 350 a day, with
nice breakfast at White Spot). Will stay at Aava again, for sure!

Just returned from 4 nights at Aava Whistler Hotel with my boyfriend. I
purchased a stay & ski package with lift tickets included so I got a great deal
booking early.
Aava is a modern hotel with simple colours and decor. Location is awesome! Away
from the hustle and bustle of the Village Stroll but only a 5-minute walk to the
lifts, 2 minutes to the liquor store and Village, White Spot on the hotel
property. Underground parking was $16 per night - not sure what the standard is
out there.
Front desk staff was very pleasant at check-in but different staff was not very
attentive at check-out. Most housekeeping staff will say hi as you walk by but a
few avoided looking.
We had a 2 queen room - not very roomy but it was comfortable. The room is still
very new and well-kept. Plenty of closet and drawer space, but washroom didn't
have much counter space. Aveda amenities and iPod dock/radio are nice. Beds are
a bit too soft for my liking but that's usually the case for me anywhere. My one
major complaint is that the walls seem very thin. We could hear our neighbor
every night - one night was kids and parents talking loudly, other nights was
the TV or radio. (On our last night, the TV/radio next door was on the entire
night into the morning!) Luckily we had a corner room so we had only 1 neighbor.
Wireless internet is included and in my opinion, that is a must at any hotel
nowadays. We used the hot tub which was packed every afternoon. The pool is
heated but not quite warm enough for me to swim in.
Overall a comfortable stay at a great location!

Stayed for 5 nights in December for early ski season. Beds are very comfortable,
rooms are extremely clean and nicely decorated. As others have said the rooms
are fairly small and the walls are thin - you can hear everything in the hallway
and some sounds from adjacent rooms. The hotel is not directly in the village
but is located just across the street and about a 5 minute walk to the whistler
gondola in the village. The hotel provides free ski storage in the basement and
free WiFi everywhere in the hotel. Parking was underground and cost a reasonable
$16/day.
After days of skiing I really wanted to relax in the room and watch a movie.
Unfortunately the TV had basic cable only... no movie channels and no option to
rent movies in the room. Would also have been nice if there was on-site laundry
facilities.
Overall I would recommend the hotel as a solid 3.5 star hotel with comfortable
beds and a convenient location.

Stayed for 3 nights in December. Rooms were clean and tidy. Not far to walk to
the village. This hotel is just outside the village, so nice and quiet.
Very bad start though. On two occasions when phoning to book, we had ordered a
microwave for our room due to needing bottles sterilized for our baby. On
arrival we were told they did not have one. The Manager was very rude and after
a lot of painful discussions, they did put us in another room with a microwave.
We were very tired after a long trip up to Whistler, with a hungry and tired
baby, I was not impressed that we had to have this long drawn out discussion in
the lobby for 45 mins before we got a room with a microwave.
Take out the rude management and the disorganization and the hotel is very nice.
Rooms are clean, lovely and quiet and new decor.
There is no restaurant in the hotel, however there is a little cafe across the
road.

We stayed for a weekend in September and we were very happy with the choice. The
hotel is beautiful and almost new. The room is very clean and feels luxurious. A
lot of people were having an excellent time in the hot tub/pool area, we didn't
try it. We absolutely loved the breakfast at White Spot just in the front of the
hotel, we'd go back anytime for the Eggs Benedict :)
Comparing with other hotels this is closed to main road but it didn't bother us
at all, I think the sound isolation is very good.
The Starbucks is very close as well ; the whole village starts right across the
road.
For those who enjoy hiking - I recommend the alpine trail on Blackcomb. It is
spectacular and we saw a marmot and pika as well.

The drive up to Whistler was amazing and so was AAVA. Check-in was a breeze and
the room was immaculate. We had a a great night sleep and it was close to
everything.

We stayed for a couple of nights whilst touring Canada. Easy to find, check in
etc. Parking on-site (although $16/day). Easy to use. Rooms fantastic. No
worries here.
