Management response from Front Office Manager
Jan 5, 2011
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize once again for your recent
stay at our hotel, the Delta Whistler Village Suites. We are aware of your
challenges during this last stay as you have identified them to our Assistant
Front Office Manager.
Our location provides many benefits to our guests such as proximity to the
village stroll where all of the shops, restaurant and pubs/clubs are located.
During a busy time such Christmas Holiday week, Whistler Village on a whole is
busier and therefore louder.
We appreciate your patience and your feedback and should you need anything
further from the hotel, please contact me at the hotel and ask to speak with the
Front Office Manager.

My boyfriend and I went up there for two days for a ski trip. The hotel is
within 5min of walking to the ski lifts and 30sec to the shopping plaza. We
arrived early in the morning so the room wasn't ready yet but the receptionist
gave us a pass to the underground parking so we could park our car. The
underground parking is a secure parking lot requiring a key card to enter and it
was $24? per night. They let us parked our car till late evening the next day
even thought we've checked out already.. that was nice.
I was unfortunate enough to injure my self and ended up in the ER on the first
day, when my boyfriend went to check in later in the afternoon while i was in
the ER to retrieve some of my stuff, the reception didn't gave him a hard time
for checking in with my ID and understood the circumstances. They were very
understanding and said to make my trip a little better, they upgraded our room
for free. That was VERY nice of them.. really made my day come back to the hotel
to be surprised with such a lovely room after spending a good 5hr in the ER.
The rooms were very well organized, I have the say the little "spa" collection
they have on the bathroom counter is very neat including the usual body lotion,
body wash, ect but also mouth wash and sunscreen too. We forgot our toothbrush
and went to the reception they gave us two for free. Since the place have a full
kitchen, we brought some bread and drinks to be kept in the fridge. They also
have washer and dryer in the room which was handy for us to dry off our wet
clothes. they provide bathrobes (free to use), and some food in the fridge
that's labelled with their price in the fridge also on top of the fridge are
laundry detergents too. Our bedroom out looked the street so at night the
Christmas lights outside li up our bedroom with a nice glow. Their bed is so
comfortable too. The pillow they have is so soft, plush and just makes you fall
asleep in the snap of the finger. In the morning we were left with a nice copy
of the Globe and Mail newspaper.
The pool in the Health Club was stunning. There is a hot tub indoor and some
outdoor and the pool is mostly outdoor but the water's heated so you're swimming
in warm water outside while looking at the great white snowy mountain which is
absolutely stunning. There is a shelf for you to store your robes n shoes and
extra towels for you to grab on your way in to dry your self. My boyfriend and I
went down there bare feet which to my surprise their carpet in the whole hotel
was very clean because i didn't step on anything that poked my feet at all while
i was roaming around bare feet.
The only issue i had was their heater - a hot air blowing vent up high on the
wall in the room was too loud. We just kept it on to heat up the room then
turned it off when we slept. Other than that, this hotel is awesome for its
price, quality and service.Hotel Review of the Delta Whistler Village Suites

in a great location a few steps into the village. The rooms are quiet spacious,
we had a fireplace and a small balcony, full kitchen, washer and dryer. The bed
was a king and really night and comfortable. The room was a bit of a strange lay
out, it was a bit hard navigating around the bed, which was in separate room.
Decor was a bit out-dated, "floral" style, but was lovely nonetheless. Loved the
fireplace. Really enjoyed the pool and saunas which you can look up at the
mountains. Would def recommend staying here, especially if you have a group of
people.

Stayed in the Delta Whistler Village Suites for the three-day Labour Day weekend
in September 2010. I found the best deal through
www.allure-hotels.com. Came w/husband and two elementary age kids. Hotel location
couldn't be better, and while the two-bedroom suites were configured somewhat
oddly (lots of doors) we loved the suite option and would definitely come again.
The icing on the cake was the amazing service from Azusa Akimoto, the concierge
- when she heard our daughter was ill, offered her assistance and even came to
our room with a surprise treat - a coupon for a free in-room movie, popcorn and
hot chocolate. That level of service was unexpected and has made what was a bit
of a hiccup in our plans a very memorable occasion.

My wife and I stayed here in October with another couple. We stayed two nights
in a two bedroom suite. The pluses are: The room came with a fully equipped
kitchen. We bought groceries in town and cooked breakfast in the room each
morning. It is right in the village so once you park you can walk everywhere.
The staff is friendly. We went off season and it was very price friendly. The
trees were turning color so there were brilliant splashes of red and gold mixed
in with the evergreens. The scenery was beautiful.
The minuses: The beds are billed as queen beds. They are actually full sized
beds. My sleep was affected by the smaller beds. In October there is no skiing
so many shops / restaurants are closed during this downtime. This is definitely
not a knock against the hotel. I only know that the hotel staff tried to be
helpful but they did not have very helpful suggestions as they were not familiar
with what to do / where to go / what was open.

We were celebrating an anniversary and it was very apparent that their staff
knew and went out of their way to make our stay special. Their service was
amazing, second to none! The rooms were great, very clean and the hotel is in
great location, right in the village, but still quiet at night.

My husband and I enjoyed a one night stay at the Delta Whistler Village Suites
as part of a promotional package from the Rocky Mountaineer Train. Check in time
was 4 pm, but when we, and 4 other couples arrived at noon our suites were ready
for us. Reception service was very friendly, as were the staff assisting with
luggage and general information. The suite was very clean, the bed was so
comfortable...had a great sleep!
The hotel is right in the center of the village which was important as we were
without a vehicle. We would highly recommend the Delta Whistler Village Suites
as the place to stay when visiting Whistler.
